He has no idea about it, yet. Too big for his current enclosure. He has to wait until Xmas

He's such a cutie. I bought him a ficus as a housewarming gift for him when he upgrades :)

Thank you for your input! This thread is now 83 pages and going, but my little boy will be getting a larger enclosure soon, and I've considered substrate ideas again. He currently has shelf liner on his floor, but I won't be doing that again this round :)

You're more than welcome, lol. V really hates being weighed so I've kind of given up on that, though I'd like to try again soon to see where he's at. He's about 13.5" long nose to tip of tail, but I'm unsure if that's lower, at average, or higher than average. He's about 8-9 months old now. Wow...

V's in a full body shed with a sneak peek at the color underneath. Still doing good about his BSFL, still upset my phone exists

Thanks for the tips! I haven't had issues with cleaning the fountain yet, but I honestly can't tell if he's even used it. When he gets the new enclosure, I'm going to try one more time with it, but if no interest still, I'll likely be removing it. He seems to really like the BSFL, but knowing...

Just some more Vedool pics, he's too cute, including licking his lips in his sleep I installed the casters onto his new cabinet and will be straining and changing the hardware tomorrow.

I gave him about 15 in a dish this morning, and I just got home and he had flipped the dish. I thought he ate them all regardless because I couldn't find any, but I found about five escaped and drowned in his drainage. Here's hoping he ate some, at least. I'll have to secure the dish a lot...

He's such a big boy now. His BSFL just arrived today and I'll introduce him to them tomorrow morning. I can't wait to set up the new condo and fix the flaws I have with his current one. I even got a new table to prop him up on, and it has storage to hide the mist reservoir and enough room for...

The drinking fountain is in. Not sure how he feels about it, yet, but he refused to acknowledge it while I was watching him, so I left the room. He's always moving around, so he might have checked it out, but no way to tell. He'll be getting his big boy enclosure for Christmas, and I'm very...

Right, and even taking the cleanliness out of the equation, if I were gone, out of town etc, I'd unplug just as a fire safety hazard. I do the same with a few other electronics, and I'd never risk V's safety, say the water runs out, motor runs dry for hours, catches fire, smoke emits, etc. When...

Yep, and I plan to throughout clean out the enclosure, spray it down with F10, and let it sit and rinse a bit before introducing the water fountain. V is usually pretty good about his pooping spots, and he's on a cricket hiatus so I'm not concerned about what they may drag into it. I check on V...

And that's fine. As long as it encourages him to drink, I have no issue cleaning it every morning for him

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QYT2KFO/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here's a link to it. It's got a little carbon filter and everything. I don't intend to set and forget, and will likely include it in weekly cleanings, if not more frequently

It was pretty good. Pets got superworms, and my family did leftover Chinese so... food was disappointing lol

V update! So a few changes but otherwise not too much. He's still on a food strike, so I'm trying to address that. -I switched his 60w incandescent bulb to a 65w halogen, same bulbs my dragons use, to help keep him toasty with lower house temperatures. He seems happier and is no longer...
