Doing great, normal V stuff. Just gave him his morning crickets. I've still never seen him eat, but yesterday I caught him in his hunting spot, next to his bowl, but all the crickets were already eaten. There's random little V bites on leaves in his enclosure, so I guess he was taste testing...

I haven't messed with her mobility since birthing that monster. I'm letting her rest, but will give her floor time soon or tomorrow morning. She's looking like she feels a lot better, she lost a lot of weight from that alone, and feels a lot better to pick up, also. Her body has some give...

That may have been it. I primarily wear glasses, but it might have been the perfect storm to see his reflection. Poor little guy. He's looking super healthy, though. The only glass to reflect would have been my glasses. Maybe? I know you said one of yours hated glasses, unless we're talking drinking glasses. There is a window in that room, but we were so far from it, and the window was open, so it was just screen

So V was already tucked into bed when I got home, but it's Friday so it's weigh day. Took him out, he was fine, but suddenly became TERRIFIED of something and started jumping around like crazy, mouth open, and hissing. I calmed him down, I'm still unsure what he saw, or what he thought he saw...

Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

I left crickets, dubias, and baby supers in V's food dish this morning. I came home on lunch to see the crickets and supers are gone. V has spoken.

Unrelated, but I found V's poop stash. If he can continue to use an area as a designated toilet, that'd be great

Go for it, just be sure to leave the tank lights on for at least two hours after eating to properly digest

If you want to start building trust, I've always hand fed my dragons and held them at night after lights out, so they sleep on you

I'd try whenever. Personally, I just keep trying continuously till success, unless they're very clearly terrified, which hasn't been the case
