    Emergency of the chams

Chameleons can see red light, so I'd ditch the nightlight. As for 90 as a hot spot, I'm pretty sure that's a little too warm for a young one. That's the temperature people use for adult males.

Do you know if the previous own bred the two (or the female at all)?

    Emergency of the chams

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you're worried about your chameleon. It's important that we know what species you own and what the different temperatures in his cage are. Better yet, if you have the time, please fill out this forum completely...

    Why do Chameleons splash?

Chameleons should NEVER take baths. If you think your chameleon is dehydrated and want them to drink, please use the shower method where you place them on a plant and run warmish (not hot, not even toasty) water against the wall so that all that hits your chameleon is a fine mist. This will...

    Growing like little weeds!

I'm so glad to hear you're doing okay! Johns Hopkins is truly incredible, my mom chose them for neurosurgery as well. I hope you have a speedy complete recovery. Hugs <3

First ever F2 Jeweled Chameleon (Furcifer campani)

To my understanding, the point is to produce chameleons for the market without having to constantly take chameleons out of the wild. Not only is this better for the environment, but the babies produced are healthy because they haven't been roughly handled by importers, they are less likely to...

First ever F2 Jeweled Chameleon (Furcifer campani)

Hi, F2 is a term that describes the generation the chameleons are. It's not just specific to chameleons though, it's a general term in genetics. It means the children of the children of a set of parents. In this case the parents were wild caught, who had babies (called F1 generation). Those...

    Nicknames

Greeting Chameleon Lovers, I've kinda disappeared these past few months, and I wanted to kinda worm my way back into the community, so I thought what better way to do that than to discuss the good stuff: the affection we have for out chameleons. When I first adopt a pet I call it by its given...

    Zaphod has passed...

I apologize as my reply to this is late. I am terribly sorry for the loss of Zaphod. He was a beautiful boy. Chameleons brighten up lives more than one without one could imagine. My condolences, you both were very lucky to have each other.

    Coccidia and Medication

Hello everyone, I hope you and your chameleons are well. Mondo recently went to the vet and as far as how he looks and acts, the vet said he was looking good. However, I also had a fecal sample sent in and it turns out Mondo has an excess of Coccidia in his gut, which may be contributing to...

    Liquid Urate?

Would you suggest I cut back on the worms a bit? I just want to make sure that the liquid pee has no health concerns. Thanks for your help ^-^

    Liquid Urate?

I've seen @Nursemaia say that there's an all in one calcium powder which is okay for daily use, and I'm fairly sure that's what I have. I've also read that sometimes it's normal for the hemipenes to come out when pooping... but I still wanted to check. Thanks for your help today ^-^
