    Outside Enclusure Husbandry

Hello everyone! As some of you may know, I recently set up an outside enclosure for Mr. Burns. He seems to really like it out there and absolutely hates when I try to bring him inside. I have really been considering just leaving him out there since he's happier, and I also feel like handling...

    Missing toenail?

Hey guys. I found some really weird fungus the other day on one of the branches in my cham’s cage so i have been examining him more than usual lately just to make sure he’s doing okay. Well I just noticed one of his toenails is missing. Not fully missing but it looks a lot shorter than the...

EEK! Weird thing growing on driftwood. Please help!

You’re the best, thank you for taking your time to write all that :) The branch has been sitting inside the house in the AC drying up, and hopefully I’ll get to cleaning and sanitizing it this weekend. Again thank you! @Brodybreaux25 thanks to you too, you’re always so helpful.

    Just got waxorms bruh

Wax worms are high in fat and offer low nutritional value. Chams love them but they are recommended more as a treat from what I understand.

Thanks for the replies guys. I took the branch out and put it inside the house where it’s cooler/dryer. How exactly do you suggest I clean and sterilize it?

EEK! Weird thing growing on driftwood. Please help!

Well it’s pretty humid down here and it’s been raining a lot lately but I can definitely try. What about my chameleon? I’m honestly more worried about him. Could this possibly hurt him or pass on to him? :( I’m surprised at how incredibly fast it grew. I guess the conditions are perfect here...

EEK! Weird thing growing on driftwood. Please help!

Geez. What should I do? Should I take the whole thing out? Sucks because that’s a huge piece of driftwood that goes all around the cage and my cham really loves it. I noticed thAt it only grew on the bottom part of the branch.

EEK! Weird thing growing on driftwood. Please help!

I was watering my chameleon cage today when I noticed this really weird thing growing on a wooden branch. I have no idea what it is or if it could potentially be harmful for my chameleon. He is housed in an outside enclosure. I live in South Florida where the weather is warm and he gets plenty...

How do you provide nutrients for your plants?

I was about to say. Fishtank water is the BEST. I currently don’t have any fish tanks as I had to take mine down, but I used to always water my plants with my fish tank water and they were all thriving and growing like weeds. Everyone that came to my house had something to say about my plants...

Found this worm in his outside cage. Safe?

So I was cleaning my boy’s cage this morning and I found this worm. When I moved it around he spit out some neon green liquid. I’m not planning on feeding him the worm since I’d like to avoid a parasite problem, but I’m concerned as to where this came from, if there could be more in there, and...

Hey everyone! :) I havent really been able to be here much since I started classes. I’m currently working full time and taking six classes and have to be in school till 10pm  I had to take my boy out of his cage today to clean it out a little since the hibiscus flowers die fast and...

National Breeders Expo 2018 in Daytona Beach, FL

That’s true :) I’m a member of a fish forum and someone once started a thread called “Wondering what everyone looks like”. Everyone posted a pic of themselves and said something about themselves outside of their fishkeeping hobby. Where they live, other hobbies that they have, how many pets they...

Upgraded cage. Cham seems moodier? Any suggestion

Chams changing color to camouflage is a bit of a misconception. Look at a chameleon’s skin more as a “mood ring”. They change colors depending on their mood. Like Josh said they’ll sometimes go dark when basking in order to absorb more heat :)
