I used that method with the big brown crickets i use to get from our local pet store. They seemed to have long wing tips at the back that could be snagged with the tweasers. These banded crickets are nearly impossible to grab like that.
My guy goes through this routine where he crawls to the bottom of the cage, paces back and forth along the screen wall making several turns then climbs back up a foot on his vines, then goes back down and repeats the process. Its always along the same wall, maybe because there is a second plant...
To the OP: I ordered 250 Banded crickets from Josh's Frogs on Amazon. Banded crickets have been a ton better! They arent noisy. They dont smell as bad. And they dont die very often at all. The only con is they have been more difficult to catch for feeding time.
My problem....
So what are your...
Yea thats the cage i own, its great. The dragon ledges are super handy in creating a network of supports for live plants and branches. It was fairly easy to put together. I have a mist king mister that goes in at the top. What you need to consider is how you want to handle drainage. I simply...

Wow how strange my guy goes crazy for them. He isnt exactly skittish most of the times, but he isnt real friendly toward me either. However, as soon as i open the cage door and pull out a hornworm he comes running down his vines and sticks from way up top on his perch and will be very motivated...
Hello guys. Debating right now to get my male veil out. Last weekend i opened the door, like i often do, and left it open. I heard some rustling under my couch a half hour later and found him heading for my blinds and window. That was the first time he ever took the initiative to escape. I...
The worm will rip apart when he eats him and the juice squirt out. Put on your safety glasses if you watch in the spash zone. I just bought 12 horn worms for $14.50.
Would be nice if you could get a thick branch higher closer to the bulb. You could try getting a long branch, cooking it in the oven to make it safe (google for instructions) then measuring it screen to screen. Cut it close so it fits from end to end of cage screen. Get 4 magnets from hardware...
Well tell me what my misting schedule should be. I have a veiled cham. In a 4 foot by 2 foot all screen cage that has a good bit of foliage inside.
I just set up my Mistking yesterday. I set it for a daily mist of 8 am (30 secs) 1pm (45 secs) 5pm (25 secs) and then a once a week rain on Sunday...
A) Whats the most efficient but still easy solution for draining a 16x16 reptibreeze cage?
B) i have a mist king coming will this soak the outside of my cage as well?
Are you giving him calcium?
1. Calcium without vitamin D3 - used almost with every feeding.
2. Calcium with vitamin D3 - used less frequently dependent on species.
3. Multivitamin - used less frequently dependent on species.
Cool i will have to keep a look out. For some reason i havent been able to find a schafflera at any of the HDs or Lowes near me. Even tried to walmart.
