Im not in a hurry, I want to find the right one. I'm looking for a blue ambanja to buy in 2020 prefered pickup at the Hamm or Houten expos or if possible Scandinavia (I live in Sweden).
If you're a breeder planning for such a clutch or have one (Or even know someone) contact me at...
We suspect the papillomavirus or skin cancer. From what I've read about the papillomavirus in Chameleons it isn't treatable and surgery will only be a temporary solution. I'm not so sure about the alternatives regarding skin cancer but his affliction doesn't seem to be bound to a certain area...
Alright so I saw this post more than one year later, I apologize for my inactivity.
The affliction never went away, It kept progressing and is still progressing. He is currently not visibly affected in terms of quality of life but he is closely observed in case that would change.
He has not...
I used to feed my chameleon exo terra multivit every other weekend and zoo med calcium + D3 other weekends. This resulted in too much D3 and it was blocking my chams intake of calcium so he ended up with too high calcium values in his body. Exo terra multivitamin contains D3 as well and my...
Feed them like they are treats. Max 2 a day is the common recommendation. If youre looking for another base feeder try dubia roaches, easy to find, breed and keep. Other roaches is ok as well, my chameleon enjoy Turkestan cockroaches as well, Sometimes glowspot roaches but they are not his fav...
Vet called me today about Incubus' bloodsample. Everything looks good, no infection, what didnt look good was my already suspected lack of preformed vitamin A and too much calcium (or rather too much D3 blocking the calcium). Thinking of my supplements I think the Exo Terra multivitamin is...
Yes he had that really bad urate otherwise its not that much orange, and today it was 90% white. I dont think its dirt if you look at his skin texture on the first picture before he started to shed the area. His skin looks kind of like its coming apart in the middle if you get me. I dont really...
Here is the latest picture of his discolored spot. Im not really sure it it looks any better since it does not shed. The vet havent answerd my e-mail either. I might contact him personally to get an opinion
So around yesterday he shed the piece of skin that has been stuck to his other lump and it just looked like an open wound like hole with swelling around. Today it looks like this
Almost the same as pre shed but its probably because it was all open when the shed came off. Will probably look...
Its very risky pulling them out. The easiest way to get rid of a stuck sperm plug is to moisturize it through a shower or maybe a wet towel. I tried soaking my chameleons vent and legs which worked but its not to recommend since its very stressful for them to be in water, therefore a shower is...
Yes, the one that the forum declared to be papilloma. Made an update in that tread just a few moments ago from my phone. He shed away the biggest "lump" this morning just like the vet suggested he would do. I am still waiting for result on the other one.
To update this case tho I have noticed a...
Update on this matter. The very much awaited shed has brought result. The first pimple looking thing is GONE. He shed it away and now have a tiny wound in its place. I looks like it will heal just fine. Ill give another update when his shed is completely done and will reflect over my remaining...
I was thinking fungal infection but its only my guess. I e-mailed my vet the same picture today as well
Speculating here but It might be related to his other skin problem even if they look very different
Replying from my phone so...typos incoming!
If your chameleon pulled out the entire nail with its root it wont grow back but if there is still a bit nail left he might have a chance of growing them back. My cham pulled out 2 of his but luckely not the entire nails. They grew back byt his toes...
When I wrote this post I was on my way to southern sweden for 1 week vacation and I just got home a few days ago. Incubus was really pale when I got home and today he started to shed his face. Im giving him a shower right now and I just noticed this strange discoloration. Any thoughts?
I don't have a source I'm afraid its just what I've seen been said here on the forums from those who own glass themselves. Having a too humid glass enclosure may cause RI as well but I can always experiment with another misting and see how it goes. If it might help him then sure. I think I have...
You do remember I wrote that I have a glass enclosure right? Misting it 5 times would flood the entire thing. 2 times is what is recommended for a glass. Maybe start running the dripper again is a better idea
