Nice start. Just make sure you repot those plants with non fertilizer soil. More vines or branches woule be good too. Its becomes fun designing a lil system... thats my enclosure.
I actually had a large round pot that actually covered 94% of the bottom.. besides the 4 corners.. it was great for that aspect but it didnt work out well for my plants. Having them all together... i have 4 pots an 1 hanging so all the main drips and misters nosels aim towards those plants.
Lol...
Yeah i have quite a few plants... lot of weight. Thats why its not easy.. an yeah ive looked into those sink type drain bottoms you put under but will need a new type of stand n need bit more space. At the moment i have a layer or those 1x1 microfiber towel things. Thankfully its not leaking...
For those of you without a drainage hole or system in your enclosures. What do you keep on the floor that will keep it relatively dry? Or something that dries quickly. I know options are quite limited, with all the spraying it needs daily.
Yeah i wouldnt recommend traveling with a chameleon specially if its only for a weekend. Would prob stress it out a great deal... as long as you got lights n mister set... he or she will be fine without food for the weekend
Chameleons usually turn darker when theyre basking so that they absorb more heat. An if shes relaxed she will be less colorful. When theyre really bright theyre stressed and at night when sleeping they turn a pale green... Thats normal.
But yeah youll need better lights soon. But kinda sounded...
Yeah kinda like a little terrarium... i can see that looking nice on its own... my cousin used to have a 30 gal octagon aquarium made into a terraium and it was amazing to look at an there werent even any aninals in it
Bioactive isnt totally necessary. I wouldnt even attempt it myself to be honest. If you want to do all the research and add all the certain aspects to the bottom of your enclosure its up to you.
But chameleons are fairly simple to clean up after. They dont really use the bathroom as much as you...
Looks great. 6500k strip of LEDS will help with plant growth and light up the enclosure more. I see you have an unbrella plant... another hardy one is pohthos vine.. easy to grow doesnt neeed much light.... an recommend a couple bendy vines to add around to all unreachable spots. Since chams...
Try sitting at a distance with your phone camera zoooomed up when you put food in there n just watch lol... he/shes a beauty already with those black bands
