Everyone has said multiple times to NOT use petroleum jelly because it helps heal your cuts. Use NOTHING that will heal a cut or scrap. You do not want her healing with that organ sticking out of her body.
She has no chance with her insides hanging out. How would you feel if someone pulled your guts out of your own body? Imagine the pain she must be in. If they don’t care enough to take her to the vet then tell them to at least have the decency to put her out of her misery
Honey, that is nothing compared to loving a chameleon pet. These things will be returned! The life of your animal will not once she has passed, and nothing can replace the gaping hole she will leave in your heart when she dies
Ok honey, we know you’re young and scared. But for the better health of your beloved chameleon, balls up and go wake your parents and tell them that if they don’t do something now that your pretty $200+ lizard and set up are worthless and that money is wasted for nothing. Your parents spent this...
Ok! That actually helps to much! I’ve been racking my brain trying to find a fixture that’ll fit these bulbs, not realizing that they are measured by the fixtures length, not the bulbs length!
Ok, I’m at a completely loss here. I can not find a 22” Arcadia T5 HO light fixture. Would T8 be better? I know its just a thicker bulb, but does it produce better output than a T5? I also don’t want it to over power my 2’x2’x4’ cage.
I’m curious to know if I can possibly use a Zoo Med T5 HO...
Ok. So since this is my first time with a smaller cage set up (my first cage I hand built and its 2”x4”x7” and the linear is mounted to the top back evenly placed in the middle) how do I mount/display this light so that its practical and actually helping to my cham?
What would you recommend for a heat bulb? I don’t have much to be able to spend, so a good reliable brand that’s cost effective would be ideal? :D thank you so much!
Ok good, so I’m on the right track. Is ZooMed linear bulb ok? I’ve been looking at about a 150w-200w. Is this going to be enough for my set up? It’s a 2”x2”x4”
Do you pair this light with others for your cage set up or is this your dominant lighting feature? I’m considering getting one to help my umbrella plant grow better, but figured I would still need a linear for UVA/UVB for my panther cham? Or would the linear bulb just be for heat maintainability...
I’m going to be calling into the nearest vet with a rep specialist tomorrow. Hopefully I might get a specialists perspective on what might be wrong! But I will def try to rinse her eye in the mean time
Besides a vet prescription, how do I get vitamin A? I’m not sure my local vet will perceive a little cham vit A when they mainly work with equine/bovine and your common house pets like dogs and cats. Don’t even think they handle birds
Should I use a bottled water or like a fish aquarium water treatment tablet to soften the water? Also, on a side/last note. She’s only been mated once and lain two possibly fertile clutches, that first clutch for sure. Are you sure she can still possibly lay more fertile eggs for another clutch...
Live on western outskirts of Fort Worth Texas. And do not have much time to travel far to take her to a vet 2-3 hours out. Hate it. I want to give this baby the most spoiled, best life. When I save some better money to afford a vet bill I will def be taking her for a check up.
8am-8pm for...
Permanent enclosure is set up with a lay bin if she doesn’t lay in plant. Actually wanted supper worms but store was fresh out. Their horn worms were WAY to big for Peaches. To keep variety in her diet I settled (hate this word so much) and got mealies. She goes outside everyday from an hour to...
