My cham's enclosure sits about 3' on a stand and is not in a room that has doors. I also have a a very chill cat that has no interest or curiosity about the enclosure and is clueless if anything lives inside it. By that's just me, YMMV.
iPardalis has males available, but you place your order and wait a few months. If you got to their website, look at Upcoming Clutches page and you'll see something like this:
Um... $29.95 is not what anyone should pay for FedEx 2 day shipping. I paid $16.00 for shipping and got it in two days so if you want to be a victim of price gouging in an effort to support small companies, that's your prerogitive.
Thanks for this referral, Jan. Marianna is all that! I got 100 small silks in just a couple of days and she included two chow-mix-packs and a promo code for 25% off the next order. If you have the word silkworm in your company name, this is how it's done!
It baffles me that so many vendors with SILKWORM in the company name are so consistently out of live silkworms. The few I did find are capitalizing on the situation. I will give Serenity credit for having Silkworm in their name and can still fill an order... but that shipping is killa.
I just received 18 small hornworms from Dubia Roaches for $5.50 and they are tiny. I also bought some BSFL and supers and it was only $7.98 to ship and delivered in two days.
He arrived yesterday safe, fiesty and fast! This little guy traveled coast to coast so thanks to Jonathan at iPardalis for packing him with a cold pack and having him held at the air conditioned FedEx station so I could pick him up. I just clicked a few bad shots as I put him in his enclosure...
Yikes, $250-300 for Reptibreeze?! And still odds are 9 out of 10 it's damaged before landing on your door step. I'm surprised Amazon still ships them. If you can get one from PetCo/Petsmart choose to have delivered to the closest store, that way you can refuse it if it's damaged.
For smart plugs, you do need wifi and smart phone. Use Mom's phone to set the configs for each plugin initially and that's it (until you want to change the times around). Set it and forget it.
Thank you for looking after this kitty! Here in the States, microchipping is common practice. If you take her to a vet, any vet, they should be able to scan for a chip. Start there before getting her to a shelter.
Edit to add that I just looked at the photo again and she's probaby too young...
I presume it's recommeded to keep pairs but would just a pair of hens be adequate? Personally, I have no need to hear a cock crow at the break of dawn but that's just me ;)
