Thank you for the information ! He is so cute!!! Omg!! What does hub to hub mean? I am getting very very interested! January would definitely be freezing here! I am super interstates in the Sheegos babies. I have never purchased through a breeder as Rico was my first... I think I would need to...
@JacksJill I am in Massachusetts and it is starting to get cold here. How does it work with shipping? I think it would be risky right? What is the price range? At what age do you sell? So many questions! Lol
Thank you! I am definitely still weighing the decision. I cleaned out Rico’s cage and repotted his plant... it just seems so empty now... It was a great home to him and I feel like sharing it with another Cham might be nice.
Soooo.... I went into the Petco where I bought my Rico from 5 years ago... debating on buying another Cham. I know I lucked out with Rico being so healthy as a Petco bought Cham... wondering if anyone has breeders they would recommend... thinking about a male Jackson’s. Still not100% sure about...
I am fairly certain he passed on the car ride home... When they brought him out to me he was totally knocked out but would move a little with the bumps in the road (even though I tried to avoid every one).... he hisses and opened his mouth a couple times but by time we got home he didn’t move a...
I woke up this morning and he was in the exact same position I left him in last night.... I touched him and he did not respond, I nudged him and still no response... I ugly cried all morning as I got dressed for work... my plan was to take him to work with me in container he’d be living in and...
Thanks! Have you ever had to feed a Cham baby food after a surgery? The vet said to mix his supplements into chicken baby food? Some one in a bother group recommend using critical care. I did find some on Amazon... thoughts?
Soooo an update to this story! I brought Rico to his normal vet, since he was continuing to not use his tail at all. He was having increased difficulty stay in branches and would have near falls , where I would have to physically intervene... within five minutes of the exam the vet stayed that...
Rico is doing much better! I think it was all a combo of decreased tail use (age? arthritis), the shed stuck on his feet, and being dehydrated. I also do not typically let him hunt crickets in his cage, mainly because I can't stand finding them in my house (I know, I know kind of selfish of me)...
I definitely am not adding a night light... I kind of feel like the fact he ahs lived five years with how I have been doing things, I don't really want to change things up that much. A few small adjustments hopefully will do the trick. I definitely may have overreacted!
I was unable to get Rico in at my current vet, but did take him to another vet that specializes in reptiles in my area. The vet said that overall she was amazed to see a five year old cham in such great health! She did note some muscle weakness and possible arthritis. She did not think there was...
Definitely appreciate the help! The vet is open over the weekend, I will definitely call them again tomorrow. They are familiar with him there. He has had check ups and on respiratory infection. I just hope they can get me in... the message said that the vet seeing in person patients was super...
Thank you for the input! He can move it because it wagged when I sprayed it... He definitely has not fallen. I really feel like if he did he wouldn't be able to get back up to the top and more than his tail would be affected... No marks or bumps or anything. It may have just been the way his...

Oh sorry you just meant the name lol. It is a part of the New England Wildlife center. Since it is not only a vet office, I feel like the prices are not as steep as other exotic vets. They actually operate off of donations, vet fees, and charging for tours to the wildlife center. They have a...
So just an update on the situation... Rico has completed his cycle of antibiotics. This was my first time having to give him medicine. Quite the challenge, especially during his really bad shedding moments, but it is done. I am to follow up with the vet in a few days as to how Rico is doing and...
