    Grasshopper Piggies

When they’re ready to mate the females make it known by extending a fuzzy appendage from their abdomen and waving it around.

Grow Lights vs UVB Hooded light

I have two 34 watt Jungle Dawn LED light bars ganged together (64 watt) on my veiled enclosure and it’s BRIGHT. 200 watts would be about 3X that brightness and might be over kill. It may actually hurt his eyes. You could always stand under it, light it up, and see how it would be for...

    Grasshopper Piggies

During a podcast with Bill Strand, Dean said the Americana is the most prolific breeder. My male spotted birds are trying to mate but the females kick them off quickly

    Tongue Complications

My rescued cham has a tongue shooting problem. It’s been a few months now under proper husbandry and it’s not getting better. His tongue still goes slightly upward every time which leads me to believe it stems from an injury. Is your guy’s tongue always missing the mark in the same manner?

    Warning: New Reptibreeze Design Issue

I read a post recently about affixing coroplast sheets inside the enclosure as opposed to the outside. I can’t believe it took me this long to read something like that but now I want all my coroplast inside the cages!

    Warning: New Reptibreeze Design Issue

I got a Reptibreeze XL for $75.00 shipped on Chewy. Considering the cost and stress involved in repairs, I wouldn’t consider fixing that. They’re so cheap it’s just a matter of replacement for me.

Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

Don’t “leave him alone”. Start building trust on day 1. Hand feeding is a great way to reinforce that your presence is good. I hand feed mine every day. That could include putting silk worms on various branches, letting them snap a grasshopper from my palm, or eating a horn worm from a...

Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

My Herbert is Homer’s son and he’s large and muscular. Ate like a horse for 8 months and then slowed down on his own. He’s mild mannered even though he started out as a defensive wild baby. I specifically asked Camiezone for one with attitude but he turned into a sweet potato anyway. That’s...

I need opinions on my cage

Passed this at my local grocery store. Wouldn’t this be an epic free range? Throw some branches, a couple T5s and a heat lamp on this bad boy!

    Corrugated Plastic

I won’t be hot gluing the ceramic lights bulb fixtures to the house next year. It looked great but it actually chipped brick when I pulled them off!

    Corrugated Plastic

I wonder if using some sand paper on the board and plastic frame would help with this. Gives it more to grab.
