What about Walmart? Mine in WI always carries pothos. Or greenhouses. Do you have a Stein's?
One thing you can do, which I did once, is get a plant stand/holder from somewhere like Home Depot to get that schefflera higher in the cage...where your cham hangs out. Once it starts growing tall...
Right now I have a 24x24x48 Reptibreeze. It definitely dries out between mistings. I also have a drainage system. I should also note that I'm using 1 nozzle.
I'm using the quad light fixture (from lightyourreptiles), plus basking bulb, so that helps dry things out. There is 3 hours between each...
I had been hand misting for a few years. I recently installed the Mistking starter system. OMG...if you can afford it, do it! It is so freakin' nice, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner.
Obviously you need a drainage system in place.
I have a Schefflera and a Pothos in my enclosure. The...
I use the Solarmeter 6.5.
For my panther, Todd from Lightyourreptiles told me a good reading is 2.5 for young/juvies, and 3.0-3.5 for adults. This reading is right under the light. The highest point in which your cham can sit under the light.
I've gotten lucky so far with my panther.
He'll eat anything out of my hand. It doesn't even have to be moving. He'll snap up a dead-still roach right out of my hand.
Thanks for the replies.
I do need more shade up top. I'm hoping the the plants start filling in more quickly.
And he isn't on the floor, and hasn't fallen to the bottom. He'll just follow a branch down that extends to the floor and hangs out near there for a bit.
Hi guys/gals.
So I have a 6 month old male panther who will, once or twice a day, head down towards the bottom of the cage and chill. When he does this, he gets much darker than usual...probably because it's cooler down there (low 70's...cooler right after a misting).
Is this normal behavior...
Scroll down and check out Nick's feeder cups. I got the one on the left and it's great.

Thanks for the replies all.
He definitely has places he can escape to if he wants. I have a huge Schefflera Arboricola along with a pothos in his cage.
Thanks.
I tried this the last few days and every time it kicks on he runs for cover. Do you think he'll eventually get used to it?
I've seen many videos where chams with shower in the mist and drink. I need my guy to do this as well.
Hi all. I just installed the Mistking starter system. It has 1 nozzle.
I'm wondering what kind of schedule I should be on. How many times/day....how many minutes per misting.
I have a 6 month old panther.
Also, I'm using a 5 gallon bucket for the reservoir. Is there anything I can wrap it in...
This is gonna be awesome!
Heads up on that chromalux halogen bulb. That thing is HOT. I bought it and put it in a dome with dimmer. I had to turn the dimmer down so low to get the prefered temp, that there was barely any light coming from the bulb. Now, if you plan on having the basking spot...
Just a quick question.
I'm installing my Mistking right now. And I can't help but worry about my guy trying to use it to climb, moving it, and then water spraying out of the wrong side of the cage, soaking my room.
Is there anyway around this? I will make sure there's no branch within reaching...
