Definitely. That's what most folks do.
This is an excellent setup.

Or, you can go more extravagant and do the quad...
Another question. I've read that you shouldn't use clear containers because there's more chance that bacteria can grow since light can get in. Is this true?
All the Sterilite containers I can find in the size I want are clear.
What size is the enclosure?
You need a lot more branches, horizontal and vertical, in there for it to climb on.
I'd also get a taller plant. It's generally not a good idea to have the lights inside the enclosure. You don't want the cham to get burnt.
Do you have a drainage system?
What are...
Keep in mind, with the quad fixture, they also come with legs so you can have it higher so it isn't sitting right on the screen. Easy to adjust this way so you can get proper UV readings.
Wait. You lost your cham? In the house?? That's pretty much impossible to do. Look high...they're always trying to go as high as possible.
Hopefully you don't have a cat or dog that may have gotten him.
I've always used the regular house crickets that you can find at Petco/Petsmart/Etc.
Well, I finally decided to try banded crickets. I picked up 2,000 back in Oct at a reptile show (you can order from many places online). As of today, I have not had one die. None. Zero. Ziltch!
Amazing...
There's a lot of great ideas out there when it comes to attaching branches.
Zip ties, tacks, floral wire, etc.
I just figured I'd throw out another alternative way that some may like.
I take a bunch of branches from outside...measured them so they fit how I want them (horizontal, vertical and...
Oh, I'm sure it is tall enough. And it looks great.
Right now I'm using a 24x24x48 cage. I just wish it were at least that same height (48"), that's all.
I know many use a food grade bucket for their water reservoir.
I was wondering if we can use Rubbermaid/Sterelite tubs instead? For me, it'd be a better fit where my cage is. But are these food grade? I'm thinking not. Do they HAVE to be food grade?
Thanks a bunch!
You need more climbing areas for your cham. Get branches from outside, sterilize them, and put them vertically and horizontally. Put a horizontal branch under the basking spot.
