I have a bromeliad that does well. It doesn’t like a lot of water though so have to think about positioning. I also have an orchid. Have killed a couple of hibiscus. Just put a mandevilla in but too soon to tell. Btw I have a panther who doesn’t munch on plants.
Is your basking bulb burned out or was it just turned off for the pic? Wondering about the new schefflera plant. Were you able to wash the leaves and repot before putting in the enclosure? Not sure if that has anything to do with it but just noticed it in the timeline that you presented. Sorry...
Good for her (and her future Cham) for taking her time doing research!
You might find a t5ho fixture that comes with the correct bulb for less. No color lights in the dome fixture. Not good for eyes. FYI.

I agree. There is also an emerging entity of fatty lung disease as well in humans. I also think the similarities in metabolic bone diseases are really interesting too. I’m an endocrinologist so you know we geek out over this kind of stuff.
So the general consensus is dust with calcium without d every feeding except every 7th day use calcium with d alternating with a multivitamin such as reptivite. I picked Sunday as the day I do either ca w D or the mvi. The way I dust is I tap the feeders into cup and just dip my clean tongs...
Welcome and congratulations on your new buddy!
Couple questions:
-what is your supplement schedule? It might be helpful to post a pic of the supplements you are using

Found this in an old post. Subcutaneous air from a respiratory infection. Wild. 6 months would seem a rather long course for that though. Please let us know what the vet says.

You must like green creatures with cool eyes! Is the top screen or is it all glass? How do you manage ventilation? I know how labor intensive it is to set up a bioactive enclosure but I’m still thinking you’re going to need to go bigger. They grow pretty fast and benefit from ample height. For...
Welcome to the forum. Chameleons don’t really nap so you’re right that something is amiss.
I’d suggest filling out this form to help better understand what might be going on.

Aha-the metric system! So, your enclosure is 17"wide, 17" deep and 24" tall if my conversion is correct. Your cham is a veiled that is male or female and is how old? Sorry if I missed that in another post. Regardless, you are going to need to upgrade the enclosure to a bigger size like 2’ x 2’...
That unit is pretty short. What size is your enclosure? You want a unit that is close to the length of the enclosure. It will also give general viewing lighting as you say but does not provide a basking spot. You can use a regular incandescent bulb for a basking bulb in a clip on type workshop...
