Sorry about the mess. But i installed a wire shelf 4 & 5/8ths inches above the top of the cage and have my 8.5 inch heat lamp as well as T5HO 24 inch fixture resting on it.

Yes, the basking branch is now 9.7 inches below the bottom of the uvb fixture! Like its sitting on a wire shelf and from the bottom of the fixture to the branch is 9.7 inches. Or are you talking about incorporating their height as well? So like if a Chameleon is 4 inches tall, their basking...

To be exact the branch is 4.5 inches from the top of the cage and the wire shelving is 4 & 5/8ths inches from the top of the cage!
