So I've been trying to hand feed Leo when possible to build trust between us and I rarely succeed. Yesterday I tried to hand feed him a cricket and I waited patiently, as still as possible, for probably 10-15 minutes and he moved closer but didn't attempt to take the cricket. :( I had tried to...
I laughed when I read your response because it seems silly to see a doctor every time my stool changes. Which I assume was the point you were trying to make. I would like to avoid the vet if I can, just because I don't want to stress him out if I don't have to. Which is why I always check...
I mist until everything is covered right before I feed him in the mornings and then I spray at least once more if not twice more, covering everything. And he has a dripper.
The only thing I would be careful about is whether or not he's able to access dirt in any live plants you have. I noticed my little booger eating dirt earlier this week so I had to buy more rocks to cover ALL of the dirt.
My little guy (7 months old) will venture down to the bottom of his enclosure every once in a while. He’s very active and explores all corners of his 2x2x4 enclosure. Sounds normal to me!
Leo’s latest poop looks weird to me. He only eats crickets so I don’t know why it would be watery or mucous-y. Is this reason for concern or am I just an anxious cham mom?
Thank you for your encouragement! My kids adore Leo. I've been truly amazed by how careful and thoughtful they've been towards him. They typically come into class and look to see what he's up to and then they leave him alone. They'll look at him on occasion during class, but for the most part...
Your Chameleon - Veiled chameleon; male; 6-7 months old; he has been in my care for nearly 4 months (I got him on October 18, 2018)
Handling - I very rarely handle Leo. I corralled him onto my hand a few weeks ago because I wanted to get a closer look at his casque (I though maybe he had a...
Hi everyone! Here’s some photos of Leo’s enclosure! I was hoping for some feedback and any suggestions, particularly from really experienced owners. Also, how do you all attach horizontal dowel rods to your screen cages? I’ve attached a photo of how I did it but I don’t know that it’s really...
I got Leo on October 18, 2018 and was told he was 2-3 months old at that time. That makes him almost 6-7 months old. Is that correct? How old would you all say he is? I want to know because if he's the age I think he is then it should be time to start feeding him a little less (I think).
Leo when I first got him at 2-3 months and Leo now, at 5-6 months. Does that seem right? The third picture is him displaying for the first time. He was mad at me for something, who knows what. Last picture is him sleeping. You can’t see his face but you can see some blue coming in!
How did you train your panthers? I have a very aggressive veiled that I’m trying to get to turn his attitude around but I don’t quite know what to do. He’s also around 6 months old so maybe he’s just a cranky “teenager” right now.
