    Planted Chameleon Tank

Also with veileds I personally have some, but I would not recommend fake plants, they sometimes like to eat the plants. I'm probably going to take mine out when I'm home from vacation

    Veiled handling

I'm actually not 100% sure. I was a bad keeper and forgot to ask the breeder his age before I got him. But if I were to guess I would say he's not quite 9 months old but getting close. I've had him since early March.

    Veiled handling

He would take food from my hand but within the past month he seems to have lost all the trust he had in me, he used to let me handle him with little incident and would sometimes eat from my hand. Now he wants absolutely nothing to do with me, I'm not sure why this change occurred but hopefully I...

    Veiled handling

I am aware that veileds are usually grumpy and do not like handling. I used to handle my veiled when he was a baby for very short periods of time. But he got really stressed each time so I stopped. Now if I ever need to do enclosure maintenance he will not let me remove him from the cage, he...

What do you think of my enclosure?

Yep I kinda thought that too. Once I get him in his full sized enclosure I'll get the pothos a magnetic planter so it can be closer to the light. I'm not too worried about the ficus or shefflera tho.

What do you think of my enclosure?

Maybe, I'll try if necessary once the plant becomes more established, it's brand new. The chameleon is also pretty small but as he gets bigger I will trim as necessary.

What do you think of my enclosure?

What do you guys think of this enclosure for a baby veiled chameleon? It has 1 shefflera, 1 small ficus tree, and one pothos plant near the bottom.

    Misting system

Thanks for the input, I decided to get a reptile with less day to day care because I did not feel like having more to deal with daily, but I will keep that in mind when I get my next Cham.

    Misting system

Yeah, if I get a jacksons and I decide to get a mister it will for sure be a mist king.

    Misting system

I'm considering getting a jacksons chameleon. But I don't really want to spend $100+ on a mister. I do have a fogger that I will use because without that I couldn't keep proper humidity for them. With my veiled I give him a very heavy misting with a manual sprayer before I leave the house in the...

    PLEASE HELP ME!

I'm not sure what's wrong with him, but you should dust his food everyday with calcium without D3 and twice a month vitamins and also twice a month calcium with D3.

    PLEASE HELP ME!

I don't know a lot about Jacksons, but I'm pretty sure that they need at minimum 60% humidity (60-80%)

A also, if you get rocks from outside to cover the dirt make sure you clean and boil the rocks to make sure no harmful bacteria are on the rocks

    Yellow Boogers

No problem, always willing to help Anyone willing to listen. I also recommend looking at the veiled chameleon care sheet on this website. Also, if you're willing to use live plants (I strongly recommend you do use them) some things to try are shefflera, ficus, and pothos. They should have...

    Yellow Boogers

I am glad you fixed your care! About feeding routines etc... first off we will start with supplements, if she is 6-12 months I recommended feeding 10-12 crickets every other day. Dust crickets with calcium without d3 everyday, calcium with d3 2 times a month and vitamin powder 2 a month. Also...

    Yellow Boogers

I know this really doesn't answer your question, but you really shouldn't use substrate, they could eat it and get impacted and die. Glass enclosures will most likely cause respiratory infections. Also, I think he is younger than 8 months. In order to save money I would recommend buying crickets...
