    Longevity of Panther Chameleons - who has the oldest living Panther?

    I just put one of my panther girls down this week, she was 6 3/4 yrs old, and Max was 10 days short of being 7 when he passed- the pic is of Max & Elliott - Max was our PR chameleon for our rescue :)

    Pin and round worms can migrate to be sub Q- they are all so nasty- lol They have been with me about 3 weeks- they were rescue - even tho in quarantine, I am just nervous of the chams getting/having this also- The little pygmy that had surgery is still alive, but did not want to eat or drink...

    From my understanding, they must be removed surgically, even if you tried to treat them with dewormer, they (the worm) would not get it due to where it is in the body (sub Q) and how it feeds, it would not come in contact with the dewormer - I just want to be sure if I do in fact have to have...

    Their main diet is earthworms, and snails, that worm lives in the skin layer- eww! Lol

    I did read that, I have never in person had to deal with as of until now, kinda one of those things I aways wanted to see, but not! Lol my worry is, 9 were sent in, 3 were rehome, 3 died on the 1st and 2nd day, and 3 were here- I don't suppose the others will be free of them:cautious::mad:

    They still have a few mos. before they will be ready, I won't sell them under 5 mos. But I will be sure and post when ready, but the local waiting list pretty much has them all homes- but I am sure some will need to pack little travel bags :)

    Thanks, they are the biggest clutch I have ever had, and all are great eaters, so friendly - just love my babies :) and Mommy, she is also doing great- I was nervous for her after having so many, but she was just like "eh, no biggie, now where are my Hornworms " lol
