Has anyone else had any issues with the latches breaking or coming off completely? If so what did you do to replace them. I have one that the whole thing popped out of the frame and on a clearside atrium that I got used is missing a couple of the black latches
@Tucklander no problem, feel free to PM, maybe work on a thread together for it so others can see. I enjoy this part of keeping these and other animals.
@Tucklander , you're welcome. Another thing I just thought is depending on how you setup drainage on the cage you can use a second PVC pipe to run all wires and misting hoses. So what I picture is that you secure the PVC for the structure with something like a toilet flange, then in the bottom...
So what are your plans for scaping this cage when it's done? An idea I thinking, especially if its going to have viewing 360 degrees around it, would be get a large diameter piece of PVC and secure it standing up. Drill some holes into it and insert branches out of the holes. you could also...
Thanks for the drawing. I run something a little similar. So my two cages are on the first floor, along with my reef tank. All are above the unfinished areas of the basement. On one side of the house it the reef tank and directly below is is my RODI system. It has a has an Auto-shutoff...
I would love to see this, please.
Also even being on a well with a fairly large filtration system I still run a RODI system for my twos misting system.
Here is the new enclosure
Added some of the fake plants from his old one while waiting for the plants to fill in a little.
I'm searching for a decent size ficus for the left side, but so far all I have found have been to small. Even the arboricola was smaller than I hoped to find.
I'll take a picture tomorrow when the lights come back on. Not sure if he drilled or just used a pin to pierce the tubing for the drips, I assume a needle as fully open its a small stream The end of the tubing has a 90 degree elbow with the plug in it.
So tonight I transferred him to the large atrium, I am definitely doing something of this size for my Veiled soon.
Here is the first round of planting.
Seeing it's a little sparse until things grow in I added some fake plants from his other cage.
And here he is exploring a little bit. Note...
I have used the Great Stuff for my dart frogs in the past and also the Great Stuff Pond and Stone. I recommend the Pond and Stone over the normal GS. The Pond and Stone is made waterproof and is safe for fish and animals as it is, and cures in 12-24 hours depending on temp, and is a...
And his cage build
one of my kids showing how big this cage is.
I used the light diffuser to help support everything, I have done this in the past when doing my dart frog enclosures. The diffuser is attached to the dragon ledges. I did forget to take a picture of just the branch layout before...
Cameron's owner will be moving and is unable to take him along with him. Cameron is about 3 years old, came from Canvas Chameleons and his sire is Bolt. I picked him up this Saturday, he handled the move very well. His current cage is a Medium Atrium, but I also took the Clearside Large Atrium...
So I am planning out a new cage for our veiled, and I am trying to make more room in the stand so I can keep feeders and supplies in there. SO my thought is having the water reservoir for the misting system remote. My RODI system is in the basement with my water storage for my reef tank. So I...
