    Chameleon Hissed

My guy likes them a lot, but they definitely get away more easily than cricks. I have a hanging cup where I leave them sometimes, but he's more likely to eat them out of my hand or on a leaf. But on the leaves, if he's not hungry enough, he'll just ignore them, and then they run away. I...

    Chameleon Hissed

I might give up on crickets soon. They really do stink so badly.

Wrestling with My Arm... grip of steel!

Funny/weird behavior story! (Or at least it was new for me) Miles (veiled, ~5-6 months) was on his fancy new free range tree, and I had to leave the room for an hour. Having lost him once after turning around for 30 seconds, I now no longer leave him alone because he's so fast! So, I had to get...

    How do chameleons handle shipping?

It will be a long while before I get another chameleon, but I've noticed a lot of breeders who ship. Is this not traumatic for the chameleons? How do they do with it? Do they adjust well to their owners afterwards? I just want those little dudes to be safe. Before I get another one some day...

I Swear Dora Was Reincarnated As Coda!

What a cutie! I love it when Miles climbs up my hair :) He loved it even as a tiny baby "Look at these vines!" and would fall asleep on my neck under my hair. :p I Love being climbed on and sat on

    Enclosure update

Nice! I have a bioactive setup too, and the Pothos is growing like crazy! It will just creep it's way around everything else in the terrarium :) Miles loves it!

Chameleon just took a bite out of his plant....

Update! Miles enjoys cucumber now :) He also has tried some strawberry. So far hasn't tried any of the other fruits/veggies I've offered him. Bites out of his Pothos are scattered around :)

Chameleon just took a bite out of his plant....

Yep I've read a ton on here about bioactive setups and gotten lots of advice :) Most likely when he's bigger I will end up moving him into a simpler screen enclosure, maybe just keep this as a terrarium, or who knows. Still seeing!

Sorry none of these are perfect.... some are at various stages. I move the basking spot further down as he grows, etc. The plants are really thriving! It's only been a few weeks though. I have the pothos in a pot on a stand so that it's high up. He loves to hang out in, on, and around there most...

Chameleon just took a bite out of his plant....

To answer your questions: -I just ordered some Calcium without D3, and will dust on every feeding. "Calcium with D3 2 times a month and a multivitamin 2 times a month" Okay I will do this too. Thanks! -The bulk of feeders are crickets. He's more interested in those than any worms, but he does...

Thanks! I’ve tried silkworms and hornworms but he didn’t try them. Then tried the other kinds. I’ll reintroduce them and see.

What do you recommend in their place? They’re mostly just snacks. The bulk of what he eats is gutloaded crickets.

Yeah a pothos, not worried about the plant. Just didn’t realize my breed ate plants!
