Chameleon just took a bite out of his plant....

Hi, my chameleon just took a big ol' bite out of one of the plants in his enclosure, a pothos plant. All of the plants in his enclosure are safe and cham-friendly, I made sure of that before putting it together. But as far as I know.... Veiled Chams eating plants isn't normal! He has been eating...

    Mom, clean my butt!

I have an automated mister but sometimes I also spray Miles directly. Miles was pooping during a "rainstorm." He dragged his butt to get it clean, and then walked over to my spray bottle, turned his butt toward it, and lifted his foot and tail! I sprayed his butt to his contentment and then he...

If your cham won't eat from a cup in your hand, try this!

My baby sometimes will step onto my fingers, but he's only tried to eat from my hand once. Most of the time he's not interested (and crickets are, well FAST!). He doesn't really like cup feeding in general, and only goes for the cricks when they're free range. Well, today I put a couple of...

    Introducing a feed cup

Thanks all for the tips! I ordered a full throttle feeder, meanwhile he can dance for his dinner  He's used to free-range feeding right now, so I'll leave him to it til the cup arrives.

    Introducing a feed cup

Hi! Miles (owned for 2 weeks, baby baby ~1-2 month old) has been eating mostly cricks and isn’t into any worms yet. I notice most people suggest that I introduce them via a feed cup, but I haven’t been using a feed cup! In Miles’ smaller enclosure, there was a vertical log where I would drop all...

Can't drain very well... Soil-based enclosure

I think Daesie is asking for pics of Goose's enclosure, since they seemed to have a successful setup! I'd love to see it too :)

    Meet Miles :)

Definitely! Every day he does something new. He's going to miss being small enough to fall asleep on leaves alone :)

Cool, good to know. I have about 1 inch, maybe I can dig things up and add more if needed.

Can't drain very well... Soil-based enclosure

Good to know! A bit more info here https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/meet-miles.169315/#post-1482637 But tl;dr, I have volcanic pumice (1 inch ish), organic soil, and a top layer of local organic earthworm compost soil. 4 plants planted in the soil so far, room for more.

Thank you all so much for your responses! @GoodKarma19 Thanks so much for that great image. On the other post where I introduced Miles, I included a ton of details about the setup. https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/meet-miles.169315/#post-1482637

    Meet Miles :)

Thanks everyone! Really appreciated the support! I'll fill out as much info as I can. Question--should I include this questionnaire every time I post? Or can I put it in a "signature" or something? Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Jacksons, ~1-2 months old, Male, been in my care for ~2...
