I agree with that. I even do it myself. I try to research before I ask, but if it's something medical and you're worried, it can be hard to take the time to sit and research instead of making a post and letting someone do the research for you
Please, can you and @leedragon explain instead of sounding mad? Some people will not go and search it on their own. To me, the way that you two came off was a bit harsh and turned me off. I get it, it's frustrating, but please don't take it out on others if they don't know what the problem is...
Thank you. I might have misread that. My bad! He hasn't climbed to the top of his cage again today. I think he's going to shed soon, so he's a little restless.
I had the same question. My veiled did this yesterday after he was climbing by his light. I was worried that he was sick or something because he did it again today and has never done it before.
Just last week when I was at Petco, there was this baby cham, maybe only a few weeks old. I was so tempted to rescue it, nut now this week it and other chams were gone because they were all 50% off
I try to check it often, but Walker like to climb on wherever I set the temperature prob. He climbed down a while ago. Sort of sadly, he isn't afraid of my hand anymore, so I can't just shoo him down by holding my hand by him. He associates my hand with food, so he thinks it's a good thing when...
So, when I first got my cham Walker, he climbed to the very top of his cage. Then, he only did it for maybe 30 seconds at a time. Well, now I've had him for a little over two weeks, and he's been basking up there, you could say, for quite a while. The first time he did it today, he was up there...
I've read many many posts on here that's its not caused by over supplementing. Them doing that is a natural way of expelling excess minerals from their body. But who knows. When you buy an animal from somewhere, you're changing their diet and their supplementing to fit what you feel you should.
I'm sorry for your loss. Boomer will be missed. You came to the right place for help though. I hope, that next time, things will go much better for you. You tried to be the best parent that you could be for Boomer.
It doesn't hurt to take her to one. That way the vet can tell you whats wrong. They know more than what most people on this forum probably do. The vet will probably also try and give you helpful information and tips on caring for you cham like others are doing on here.
I didn't take a picture because I knew what it was, but today was the first time that I noticed a salt deposit sticking out of Walker's nose. He let me use a moist q-tip to remove it. I have well water, so could that be part of the cause? Can I use a water filter to help the problem?
Ever since I have gotten my chameleon cage, I have used a repticarpet. The only downside of it is that it's really wet after multiple mistings. Should I just remove it and have nothing at the bottom of the cage at all, or what? I'd love to hear your guys' suggestions and input!
