back in 1988 i was finally allowed to have a pet..i thought really long and hard about it and wanted a parrot..did my research, and well, parrots poop alot, take large spaces. take alot of attention, and are extreamly loud (most species)..they can also be very aggresive to certain people (will...
all i have is "sweet"...i still just have a dripper separate of my mist nozzels, but i think i may make a small one of these too!!..good job (free ranging always has water issues but this definatley helps out to keep the drips in a smaller area)
is there any dark marks on the rear area (around the back and legs) could have been a bad fall..either way..most of us give d3 once a month, and calcium without d3 every feeding..i really hope its not MBD..i would schedule a vet visit asap..
my next stop is parsons..been planning it for years.one thing i do know..i would not want a wc parsonii..ied rather still pay more and have a well aclimated parsons from chuck g...just a thought..
ive been trying to make peileds (panther-veileds) for years...i am still waiting for it to snow in hell..and yeah 1000, or even 500 is too much to pay for a guess..it would have to be proven..if so though...i would contact a zoo and see what they have to say(if legit im sure they can sign a seal...
true..
one thing i can say, is that i would reccomend glass for small and baby chams, or if you have good experience in chameleon care and their needs (say like 5 years or so)..glass does have its benifets like for instance in uk or pretty much any place where you would have difficulty...
well, maybe this will shed some light on that..
when i started chams (back in 1992) they all had bad info at pet stores (and apparently still do) i had a pair of jacksons i got for a "deal" and never knew they were live bearing..one day i had babies..we all start somwhere..and this is...
just one more reason i dont use glass...
to me its just personal, i find the glass users more of a stubborn group( or extramley knowlageable in chameleons)!!! vs. the "whats best for my cham" kind ( this is purley IMHO)..and i still use glass for babies and raising hatchlings, and also pygmy...
as much as i get afraid of the suffocation hazard, i agree.....im pretty sure its a rare thing for an animal to choke to death (same with humans) we just choke more often because we have too many of "us" in the "wild" so you have yearly statistics..personally ive never heard of a cham choking to...
my huge male ate a locust once (i quit getting them afterwards) and he got it all down except for just a bit of the wings..i found in regurgitated on the floor 5 mins later..i wont risk too large of food items anymore other than hornworms (he loves them and chomps them down no prob since they...
I would assume not, but i have never tried, nor do i want to..i wouldnt suggest it..( the standard method still gives us hatchlings, and i would stick to the tried and true rather than re-invent the wheel)..they look good otherwise..
yep, thats a male..to me its as clear as a dood on the beach wearing speedo's..man package all over the place! lol (gross!!)..but like other cham-humans said..lots of blue..cant wait to see him in a year(should be a stunner by then!! full bad ass!):D:D
I use hatch rite straight from the bag, and a sealed tupperware container with 2 holes in it near the top, and open the lids once a day to "air exchange" the bins..maybe the green is from somthing in the sand??
the "on" setting is a manual on and will continue to mist untill you manually put it to off, when you use your pre-set times (the ones you program in) keep it on the "auto" setting..hope that helps..
ok..can of worms here..
this is what i use right now (i switch it up every 2 months)
bug burger (allen repashy's)..it is a wet mix
super load(allen repashy's)..this is a dry mix
vit-all (sticky tongues farms) this is a vite mix dryload (use sparingly)
and of also a "salad mix"...
