Nice, sure we have those! More paper now than plastic, but hold water very well anyways. He already ate 2 dubias right in front of me! So i think i got lucky and there wont be a problem at all. Thanks for all the help again!
Thank you for advice as always ❤️ I will put the ice cubes up right now and think of some DIY dripper after that. I may be able to find superworm, mealworms, crickets and maybe waxworms, but for now ill stick with small dubias, im having a colony myself so i can choose the size fortunately...
So, I've finally got my guy! After a year of planning, building, breeding food and researching online, i've finally got my veiled male! He should be about 4-5 months old i think, he's 100% male as even i have found the spurs on legs. Here's my husbandry review, hopefully everything is on spot...
The pump itself isn't that loud, when it's running and i lift it up there's barely any difference in noise. Water spraying through nozzles makes some noise but that's norm i think, big pressure and small amount lf water pushing through tiny hole in the nozzle. What makes most of the vibrations...
I sort of diy those too, hot glued the tube to the cage so it doesn't rattle and move freely, still makes some noise. I'll try and mount it to the wall that's behind the cage so it doesn't touch the wood anywhere.
Alright, thanks! So first order of business will be mounting the pump on a wall behind the cage and make sure all the tubing is not touching the cage as well.
Thanks for the tip and advice as always. I can hear the water spraying through nozzles clearly and also the tubing rattling.. I'll then have to solve it somehow, i wouldn't like to bother cham with noise twice every day. Maybe making sure the tube doesn't touch the cage at all could help, maybe...
I've tested my misting system on complete cage recently, and it gives off fairly loud vibrations. Question is, won't the veiled chamelon mind? It's an offbrand misting system, not a mist king. I've tried lifting the pump itself while turned on, but it didn't reduce the vibrations significantly...
Thank you haha, I'll keep trying! Just thought there's some magical solution to it when y'all use 60w and i can't use 40w, but i guess there isn't one hah. Thanks tho!
I'll leave it there for now and see how it holds up. I've got the wandering jew outside of the cage on a shelf that i bought with intention to put it inside, and it doesn't really grow good, so i think I'll just wait for it to start growing better before putting it inside. Thanks for tips...
Cool fact! Should i attach the pot lower then? I thought it should be like this since everywhere i saw it like this. Yes i do, this is the 60w one, others are the same. Clear basic bulb, maybe it's more industrial type or something so it burns hotter? There's no other type available in our...
It just feels too empty, more plants on bottom will probably save it, but the bare minimum is already met i believe. For the temps, our flat is about 22 degrees at the moment, and the distance is 25cm aproximately as well. But temps with 40W bulb are like 40c or something ... i use digital...
That looks absolutely gorgeous and now I'm jealous and ashamed of mine 🥲 here's what I was able to put together today. Don't have any more branches nor plants at the moment, but i think it might be enough already? Overall feels kind of empty on the bottom but he won't use bottom part much anyway...
So, finally put the cage together! Breeding dubias as well, everything is coming together, so i tried to design interior as well. So far only large Ficus is in the corner, but planning to add one medium sized pothos to the top right corner as a trailing plant as well. There are branches going...
Yess it will be a thin strip, max 1cm wide and long through whole screen lenght, and UVB will go perpendicularly through it so it won't block too much hopefully?
