A few months ago, back in July, I came home from work one day to find one of my panther's (Pastal) cage doors wide open with no chameleon inside. I looked and looked, put up flyers, but eventually I determined that he probably wasnt coming back, seeing as now its all the way in October. I...
If need be, I can move the cage over slightly so that the spray isn't getting the entire thing... gonna wait on some more confirmation before I do that. This makes me question further about having him outside during heavy rain though!
So far, Specs, my nearly 3 year old panther, has been enjoying the outdoors all summer, soaking up the good 90 degree Louisiana heat, UVB, and humidity. It was only until recently (when summers almost over, figures) that I learned a new way to water him...
I was browsing through Target today...
Well, its still something to think about for when im a little more on my feet, I guess. I would still like the experience of it at least once. On the plus side, once you buy all the materials for breeding like the bins etc, you would never have to buy them again. That would just leave the...
Holy cow... does it really cost that much to breed? Pretty discouraging. :( I do not have that kind of money to spend no matter how much I love panthers and want the experience of breeding them.
Ive never bred anything before so I have no experience breeding period. Ive always thought that...
I have to ask, about how much did it cost for everything? The bins, the PVC, the dowels, lights, etc. Im really considering breeding but im also worried about how costly its gonna be. I know lighting will be expensive as heck. I really like your setup though, especially the drainage part, I...
I do dust and gut load my crickets, I use the repashy calcium plus and bug burger. Specs has also been in an outdoor cage all summer soaking up the good UV. I change my bulbs at the 6 month mark as well (although typically they burn out before then anyway). I was using the zilla slimline...
I've successfully done this with my two males. All it takes is a towel on one side of one of the cages so that they cant see each other and they're fine. :) If they see each other it stresses them out and can put a toll on their body in the long run, especially if they're left like that for a while.
Hello all, its been a while. :) My little Specs is almost 3 years old now.
I came here because I have to question my vet. I was bringing in Specs to see if he was healthy enough to breed, I was thinking about getting him a girlfriend. The doctor said that Specs was fine and good to breed. I...
The personal information is blurred out but the top gives my street address, city, state, zip, cell #, home #, and email. The bottom one gives my reference's #.
I was a little worried about putting the bit where I say I'm familiar about everything in the store and that I live only 5 minutes...
The shipping for Ghans is more than Premiumcrickets though. Ghans and Premium charge exactly the same for the crickets, $14.99 for 3/4" or 10% winged, but the cheapest shipping for Ghans is $12.68 while Premium's is $9.77 (and its for 2 day). The difference isn't much but its still a difference...

I looked at Flukers and Ghan Farms and they were either exactly the same price or more. Im sensing that I probably wont find anything better than what I already have, but thats fine though lol
I tried breeding once but it didn't work out. I don't have the right kind of soil (closest thing I had to use was coffee grounds-Louisiana soil just turns into sloppy mud when wet) and I can't keep it at the right moisture, its either over watered or just too dry.
Thank you, I will try these.
Yeah I know I'm probably just nit picking about prices, what can I say though, I'm a bargain shopper haha.
I'll take more suggestions if anyone has them.
Hi all, Ive been ordering my crickets in bulks of 1000 from Premiumcrickets.com ever since I got my first chameleon over a year ago, and I'm wondering if there is a cheaper place to order them. 1000 crickets at $25 every 2-2 and a half to maybe three weeks gets pretty pricey and its gone up...
Mine never really gets transferred. Sometimes I'll bring his cage outside during the summer for some sun, but thats about it. Most of the time hes in the same cage.
He doesnt seem really generally unhappy or anything, though... he doesnt roam around too much and show any signs of stress. Unless...
Title pretty much says all. :)
I've had a 36x18x18 DIY cage for my adult panther for a while now... not sure if its 100% absolutely necessary to switch to the last size, since large cages + shipping can be pretty pricey..
Reading this almost makes me reconsider.. that and the fact that I just found one thats 36x18x18... now im back to square 1 on deciding if I should or not lol. I may sleep on it and see.
