Common parasites, fecal tests and treatment?

The fresher the better, but next day will work. I've had wcs that I've taken stools from that were over a day old and amebas were detected. So, like i said that stool will probably work just bag it, tag it and put it in the fridge. Scott

    Sexual maturity/ panther females

The general guideline has always been 1 year old minimum. I have followed this and have never had less than a 90 percent hatch rate. Breeding them early, can lead to multiple problems. It will also give them a reduced life span. 8 have been female i waited to mate until she was 1.5 years...

    The Herp Room

Nice, just 1 question though. Is there a visual barrier between the male and female? If not, that will really stress the female. Even having other animals in sight can really stress them. Best case scenario is to have them in complete isolation other than when breeding. Scott

    Recommended lights for newborns

I use 5.0s that are a few months old. They don't need nearly as much uvb. I would also recommend that they are raised up maybe 3 to 5 inches above the top of the containers. Good luck with the babies. Scott

    New incubator

I used flexwatt and have never really had more than a 1 degree temp swing. I also left the fan in and use a dc converter for the lights and the fan. U could probably use a number of different things maybe go dumpster diving for a broken coffee maker or the element out of an old hovabator. I...

    Subcutaneous worm on eyelid

I shotgun treated pretty close to the same as you. The entamoeba was found in a small quantity in the one male that had them which the Flagyl probably knocked it out of the others but just need a little more on the one. The coccidia which i didn't shotgun treat for was found in large...
