Also when you say a full side trash can, are we talking kitchen (5-10gal) or like curb side 30-40gal? I have both.

    Breeding concerns, dehydrated Chameleon

I can but wont be tell tomorrow. Today I am going home and readjust according to the vet. I can take before and/or after pics. I can set up for What your saying as well, and will. I was not sure about the sand to soil consistency. I have a lot more soil than sand I would dare to say 10-1...

    Breeding concerns, dehydrated Chameleon

I have made my first attempt at breeding veild chameleons. I keep them in separate cages 24"x24"x36" screened. Both with zoomed lighting basking lamp and UVB bulbs. UVB bulbs where replaced last week and no signs of MBD in either one (bulbs are replace every 6 months sense I have failed at...

    Vacantion travel

Yeah I do but one of the pod casts said I can link it to a larger container. So I am going to look into that this week. I also have drip systems that will hold enough drinking water. As far as food I am going to over feed them for a few days prior and set up a bowl for them to pick at, very...

    Do chameleons get bored?

I would not think so. They are well designed for hiding from prey and predators. However I like to keep good interactions with them. I have open perches both outdoors and indoors. I think it helps with handling too since they spend a lot of time with you without over handling.

    ReptiRain Opinion

I use reptirain myself. I would say its not the best but it does get the job done. I also keep a drip system on them for between mistings in case they get a little thirsty. However I live in Florida and humidity is usually high anyway so it don't take much to keep them comfortable. Just keep...

    How do Chameleons eat?

I would say each one of my little ones are very different. Different attitudes, and different feeding behaviors. My female veiled will eat just about anything I am willing to give her. She has even been sitting on her perch and tried to grab my food off my plate. (No joke). My male veiled...

I almost got out of the hobby!

My cat has done that. He just wants to play with them lol. I ended up setting up my office so that none of my other animals can get to them. Thus also helped with keeping tempatures. I closed all a/c vents and have just the ceiling fan on. I still have to keep each cage with separate...

    Vacantion travel

Thank you all. I reviewed the pod cast and got a few ideas for water & food. I was not sure if it would be better to bring them or leave them. I think I have a good plan for leaving them now, which is preferred. As for staying in florida, yes I am with you on that however NJ is my wife's...

    Panther is always dark

I don't have much experience with panthers but my panther stayed darker as a juvenile. He is still young but while he is in his cage he just does not seam to colorful. When he comes out he really shows off changing blues and reds. I only feed them on a perch and never feed inside the cage. I...

    Vacantion travel

I am going from Florida to new jersey for 6 days. I have 2 veileds, one male and one female, and a panther. I do not have anyone to watch them while I am gone. I have been debating on bringing them with me, but I can't exactly pack up their habitat and bring it with me. I thought about...

    Weird chameleon

that was a long time ago. My recent post was an update to how she is doing now. The MBD did cause a lot of damage and it was caught late. I think it did do some irreparable damage to her front legs since she still has bends in them but make no mistake she is very strong. The problem was that...
