Kyle usually slows down in the winter months. As of now, when lights kick on and his cage warms up he moves to his basking area for a few hours. By 1pm he strolls to his usual sleeping spot in his hanging pothos and watches the world go by. Occasionally, I'll see him peek over the top of some...
Its all of about 29-30*F here in NJ. No falling iguanas to worry about though. Just gotta watch for the dreaded black ice that likes to try an kill me every winter.
The ficus is safe and commonly used in chameleon cages. They a great for giving the cham plenty of sturdy branches to climb.
Quick google search shows the plant on the bottom is possibly a Swedish Ivy which is also safe but I would double check what plant you have there.
Whats your feeding schedule and supplement schedule? Supplement brands? Cage temps?
Is the cage in a high traffic area of your home? If so, did you put something up around the cage for the chams privacy? Sometimes if the cham doesn't feel safe they will abandon the laying bin which is why...
Lucky me haha. I've wised up to his tactics. This was the last bite I ever received from him. When I am cleaning his cage I need to move fast because after 10 minutes or so of being in his space, he starts lunging at me with those teeth.
Yes, chameleons can bite hard enough for it to hurt... this was from my adult male veiled from last year. After this I wear gloves anytime I have to go in his cage and he doesn't cooperate
It's possible the timer module is bad. Check every wire with a tug test. Make sure nothing fits loose in sockets and connection points. The clips that split the power between the pump and timer is where I'd look first. The wires are crimped to a terminal which is supposed to lock in the...
Going with a proper, reputable breeder like many of the site sponsors, is a much better practice since you are supporting a breeder who cares about the animals they breed and sell. You might pay more for the chameleon but you atleast know that the chameleon has been properly cared for which...
I currently run a dual T5 fixture with one 12% UVB tube and one 6500k plant tube and its growing multiple plant species like crazy. Basic dome fixture for the heat bulb. I do not use a dripper but instead have a Mist King systems with spray nozzles mounted through the front and back top...

I linked the forum caresheet which is a good read. Confirm the chameleons sex as well. Males will have a small bump on the heel of their back foot, females in most cases do not have this bump/spur. There are photo examples in the...
Any updates @Lucas F ? Following the advice Kinyonga listed in her post will help you get back on to he right path. You did not mention how look and frequent your mister is spraying during the day. With a glass cage your airflow is limited and the humidity throughout the day being high can...
That's an awesome ornament! I need to find one of those for Kyle lol. My grandma gave me a bunch of my grandfather's Christmas ornaments after he passed and this is my favorite.
Long story short, I blew up my old car and needed a new car. Got my new ride last week and after towing my old car to the junkyard my wife surprised me with this sweet decal she made.
She took a photo of Kyle and used his silhouette for the decal. I told her she should start sell these or...
