Ok thanks, but I have one more question. Is it normal for my chameleon to miss his shot with his tongue at insects from time to time?

-Mango is a male veiled chameleon, and he is about 3 or 4 months -I used to handle him everyday, but that was just to take him out on the deck and put him on his plant to bask in the sun, but now it is too cold for that, and I only handle him about every 2 weeks. -I feed him about 10 crickets...

I mean for humans, they're good but high in fat.

I am just wondering if you can gutload crickets and dubias with chestnuts.

So my Veiled Chameleon, Mango, all of a sudden started to hide himself in the very back corner of his cage, but not on the ground, behind a plant. I am starting to get worried, because now I have noticed shrunken eyes. I spray him everyday and provide a dripper, but it seems like he isn't...

So, when the BSFL turn into flies, can I still feed them to Mango? I am kinda scared to do so because BSFs look pretty scary.

He really loves the outdoors and the sun and he enjoys sitting on me in the sun.

@Beman my chameleon Mango is really comfortable with handfeeding, and with greedily come onto my hand and stay there for food, but if I don't show him that I have food, he will either stay where he is or slowly back away like I'm a robber in an alleyway. When I make a move to move my hand closer...

wait I was told that you were supposed to cut holes in the mesh and put the outward sticking squares into the holes in the mesh. I'm soooo confused right now.

Yeah, its just so many questions with like how am I supposed to find a plant that's 3 1/2 feet tall and the other plants aren't at my home depot that are safe for veils.

I have no idea I tried it with my crested gecko, and I F***ed it up pretty darn bad. I tried so many different ways, but it never comes together.

Even if I look at 1,000,000 videos and articles on how to make one, I will still be the worst at it.

I'm just wondering how the heck you guys build such good enclosures. Either I suck at designing them or you guys are the GOATs.
