    Climb high Rhea

So we had to put Rhea to sleep on the 22nd (not going to confuse things with the whole American/British way of writing dates). As I have documented in my previous post she had to have surgery for follicular stasis. She then aspirated liquid food, leading to severe aspiration pneumonia. She was...

Sending people to other sites doesn't further discussion here

I completely understand where you are all coming from with questioning why we send people elsewhere. My opinion is that there is only so much we can tell them and type. If we tried to tell each new member who had bought a cham on a whim and is now looking for help because they are in decline or...

    Beardies

Ours always does that pose and sleeps that way quite often too. Sometimes she even moves her feet off the wall so it’s just her head propping her body up. Honestly don’t know how they find it comfy 🤷🏼‍♀️ Little weirdos but we love them

    Beardies

No that’s her ‘my waiter is ignoring me again’ face 🤣

    Beardies

Our little ‘angel’ just looks at the the salad as if we are trying to poison her. If it doesn’t move she doesn’t want to know 🙄 the hubby has issues saying no to this face though, when it comes to supers 🤦🏼‍♀️

    Not eating after aspiration pneumonia

@jannb I’m in the uk. The surgery seemed to go ok and she was recovering ok, just not eating. She then aspirated on the criticalaid food we were given to syringe feed her. Took her straight back to the vets and then 10 days later she came back to me like this from the vets. The vets told me they...

    Not eating after aspiration pneumonia

Just ordered one that will be delivered tomorrow. I'll have a look back at some of the fogger threads because I know I saw about PVC piping being used as I know the bendy collapsible pipes they come with harbour bacteria in the folds. I do appreciate the help :)

    Not eating after aspiration pneumonia

Thanks @Beman her grip has never gone. All through this she has had good grip and not falling. That's the only good thing I think through all of this. Unfortunately we don't have a fogger. Being in the Uk the humidity is higher anyway and I always make sure at night she has a real drop in order...

    Not eating after aspiration pneumonia

Thanks both for the input. She did have a small poop earlier. The vet told me that they were keeping her hydrated which was part of the reason I was shocked when I saw her eyes. I have made sure her dripper is on all day and we are trying to drip water onto the end of her nose for her to drink...

    Not eating after aspiration pneumonia

Hi all I'm after some advise. For anyone who hasn't read my previous thread about the vet trip I will give a quick overview. Rhea became gravid with no sign of laying after a month+ she stopped eating then started shutting her eyes during the day so I took her to the vet. They diagnosed...

    All Me

We had 4 betta girls (I’m not clued up on the types) we are down to 2 now who are both looking elderly they were all full grown girls when we bought them at the start of last year we have some blood fin glass tetras, kuhli loaches, endless guppies, an albino bristlenose pleco, a jumbo armoured...

    What do you think?

It’s so so common over here in the uk. Any pet shop that has a reptile section (I use that term loosely) has it. It’s hard to find any other products unless you shop online. I know there was a thread a while ago about the supplements and levels of vitamins and d3 and I compared our pot of...

    Hornworms in the Uk

I’m not sure whether they can be gutloaded. I seem to recall that they should only be a treat. The big lord may be the best person to ask @jamest0o0

    Hornworms in the Uk

Just make sure with the grubs to either squash or take of the head just before feeding as they have a VERY strong bite and could damage the tongue/mouth

    What do you think?

The vitamin d in this is known to be extremely high.

Planted vivarium - plant food help please

I used it on the plants I had planted on the bottom to try and help them survive until I can afford to buy a jungle dawn. Seems to have done the trick with them and the springtails have gone mad on it(although that might just be the springtails). I was using at the start of the process as I had...

First-Time Veiled Chameleon Owner, So Many Questions!

Awesome! She is going to love the new space. Just one thing to incorporate into the design (not sure if you have thought of or read about) is drainage. Either put a slight slope on the base and drainage in a corner or I have seen people use the shower cubicle drain bases and then it’s ready...

    Vet trip

Thanks. She is asleep now (evening here in the uk). I’m liking the fact she wasn’t grumpy but I know that’s just the meds 😂 we have a check up again in 10 days time so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s smooth sailing from tomorrow

    Vet trip

So quick update. She had the surgery and is back home. it was follicular stasis. Vet said because she hadn’t eaten for a week it could explain the hypocalcaemia. I’ll attach the X-ray as well that the vet sent her home with. She also showed me the follicles when I picked her up and I understand...
