ANGUS 6mths old -- Update. Angus is growing well. He is now 13" long and becoming very colorful. He and I are having some bonding time now and for those of you that read my "allergy" post. I am getting better and have been using gloves and a mask when handling feeders and feeding and...
Exactly like birds. I have parrots and have raised them most of my life too. Of course, they are much more social but much more bitey when they want to as well :ROFLMAO:
And if he puffs and hisses at you, never put him up when he is doing that. Hold him longer until he settles down. If you put him down when he does that, they will use that to get you to put them down every time.
Yes so true — while I was really ill I didn’t handle angus for a few days and he started giving me much attitude - so I made him give me his attention by getting him out (which is always a challenge ) but it helps to settle him down
Thank you all for everything and all the suggestions - I definitely do not want to part with my little purple blue buddy - I feel a lot better today which is the good news - I’ve been using the protective gear and even used it to wet vac the water up today . Will keep doing that and see how I...
Yes - well so I went out bought some latex free vinyl gloves and allergen masks and have been doing that since last night - of course it will be several days before I see s difference if it helps but I do feel a little better today so I am praying very hard that this will help —- and today Angus...
So I keep having bad luck getting horns that are too big and I am spending a fortune doing it, and I end up letting them go outside to be FREE!!! So not a fan of buying hornworms because they grow to darn fast and are not practical on the money side of things.
Thats all I ever did was play in the mud outside. I live in Waco, TX which is the allergy capital of US and if you grow up here, you have allergies to everything.
Well, I keep the containers spotless DAILY on the crickets so there are no smells. I just know how I feel when I am around them too because I am so allergy prone. I am 98% certain but it may be the crickets themselves. Not sure. That is why I posted, looking for alternatives
Yes, crickets are his favorite staple food. the roaches were bothering me and I heard they carry bad allergens for people, so I am almost out of them anyway and he has decided they are not fun enough to eat anymore anyway. He loves superworms too. I am so beside myself, but you have to...
So hello everyone. I am soooo very sad that this is occuring but we have figured out that I am allergic to what we believe to be the feeders dusting (calcium, etc......) . i have been very ill ever since I got Angus and we have tracked it back to this as of now but I am so ill, i continue to...
I bought the group of 3 branch sets at Hobby Lobby when they have them on their 50% off of naturals sale. They are as thick as bamboo but they are great for climbing and strong for mounting.
