He's a photogenic little guy! (Enclosure now equipped with dripper and UVB bulb)
Still haven't caught him eating! I'm a nervous eater too, little guy, I understand.
Fantastically!! He's grown a Lil and his eyes seem more full and healthy. He also poops A LOT.
His/her name is Shoyru now, having lived longed enough to name
I am having one hell of a time trying to decipher light indexes n stuff so I can learn what lights work for a chameleon and which ones don't.
Does anyone know of any LED bulbs that work? Potentially an LED light fixture?
Unfortunately the plant selection around me is pretty sad. I just finished a new cage for my full grown male and had one hell of a time finding an alive plant for him.
I plan to order some pinhead crickets on Friday, but I prefer to just get some local if I can since I don't like to keep them...
I am feeding fruit flies. He is showing direct interest in the flies so I do believe he's moving and hunting just when I'm not looking. He seems to be growing as well.
(It's one of those things where you will look at him and he'll be still but you turn your head for one second and he's...
I had my first panther egg hatched a few days ago! I've been trying for years to breed but ended up getting a free egg from some guy who I talked to at the reptile expo.
My new little guy is 6 days old now and I'm keeping him in a small exo terra I had lying around that's something around...
Thank you so much!! I'm actually not looking at just a reptile store, but a big concern is being able to support margins without buying from big animal distributors. I'm at the stage right now of finding costs so I can build a budget plan and decide what is possible to carry and what is not...
Hi,
My dream is to open a pet store someday, hopefully sooner rather than later. Keeping animals in the proper enclosures, creating custom enclosures, and helping local breeders get a footing and make things easier for them. I want a portion of the store to kinda be like a little animal expo...
Haha that's terrible
I had a moment of weakness and curiosity and actually just bought one of his dad's eggs for $100 from a reptile expo in Rothschild, Wisconsin. I watched the booth while he ran to the bathroom so he gave me a second one for free lol (I have spent years trying to breed my one...
I should try shortening and lengthening the time the lights are on for sure. I found a sperm plug shortly after this post and I relaxed quite a bit. Of course I was concerned about him not breeding, but I was mostly concerned something was wrong in general.
I have been having a similar problem. Female receptive, honestly all for him but he will just sit there. No response whatsoever. He hasn't hissed, though, usually just puffs up.
At some point I kind of gave up, it's been about 4 years and I've chosen to let my one female live her life than...
My male ambanja panther, Lemon Boy, hasn't been showing any signs of being.... interested in anything. I've had him for almost 2 years now and he doesn't show any interest towards my receptive female whatsoever. I've tried outside the cage, in his cage, in her cage, in a room with dimmed lights...
