Well, I called the vet and they said they can’t bring me in for a week, so I’m just going to go there tomorrow and wait until the Dr can see me. There are no other doctors in the area that I trust with chameleons. He’s been trying to keep his eyes open but upon looking closer, there’s definitely...
I doubt I’ll be able to get in tomorrow but I hope so :( this will probably be the last dookie for a while at this rate. I honestly hope it’s parasites just so I could be at ease. This boy has been stressing us out so much lately lol.
I just put him in the shower for 10 minutes which sparked him to have to go to the bathroom. It’s smelly, and very runny. Urate separated from the poo. He’s been eating hornworms, but is this a sign of parasites?

Your Chameleon - Male Ambanja Chameleon, 16 months old, 10 months in my care
Handling - Every day usually. He enjoys coming out. (see current problem)
Feeding - He eats superworms and hornworms, and occasionally crickets as of recently as an attempt to get him to eat more. He's...
Update and still need help. We got him a larger cage per recommendations, 2x2x4, also purchased a mist king but haven't set it up yet. I had to force feed a couple crickets and worms in the beginning, but he ended up eating on his own eventually. Not nearly as much as he's supposed to be eating...
Gotcha, I went up from just one plant to three total, and the bottom of his cage (about 2-4’ under the UVB light)is pretty dense. That’s why I was concerned about UVB. I’ll stay at 5.0, should I get anything additional to help the plants thrive?
We just got Nard a 24/24/48 cage, and I have a Reptisun 5.0 linear UVB bulb. 95% of the foliage is real in his enclosure. What do you suggest for UVB/lighting to keep him and his plants happy? Also how is everything set up? Also got a MistKing, just haven’t installed it yet. Thanks!

Your Chameleon - Male Ambanja Chameleon, 15 months old, 9 months in my care
Handling - Every day usually. He enjoys coming out.
Feeding - Part of the issue here. My previous chameleons always enjoyed Discoid roaches but he doesn't seem to care for them/is much pickier. He seems...
Don't know if there's a thread like this, but if y'all or anything like me, you have at least one photo of your chameleon snuggled up looking like a sleepy puppy dog. Anyone want to contribute? Here's Bernard telling me with his eyes that he wants the sun turned off.
I bought this back in May and decided I need a bigger cage, figured someone might want to save a little money on a very gently used cage. I will clean it up before shipping or pick-up. Its 16x16x30, asking $50, bought it for $80. In Tampa FL area.
He does it at me and especially at camera lenses, it's pretty hilarious actually. It's weird, because he doesn't acknowledge himself in the mirror (yet). My past two panthers were very passive, unless I showed them their reflection, then they'd put their fighting colors on and try to attack the...
That was another thing I was wondering! If possibly its some weird PUBERTY for him, because he's pretty often fired up, head bobbing, just all around crazy lol.
Just got this photo from my boyfriend. He's currently hanging on the curtain rod, watching the rain.
he was in action of adjusting his foot, he's not holding onto his tail. 90% of me thinks this is just his weird personality, just like he hates water being sprayed and aggressively shakes like...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 1 year old Ambanja chameleon, been with me since May.
Handling - Every day, as he seems like he wants to explore ALL THE TIME, hence this post
Feeding - Currently discoid roaches every other day, I put 7-10 in there, he doesn't eat them all in one sitting but I...
Hey all, don't know why I wasn't getting updates on this thread but sounds like Linda's the way to go. I emailed her the other day and apparently she has a special going on now. Thanks for all of your help!
I secretly wish he would fire up and try to battle this living room decor, but no, he just used it as a perch. The only thing he seems threatened by is the scary camera lens. :P
