Thanks guys! Dubia sound great! Just got to get my wife convinced to KEEP roaches in the house :D. Until then, I can still get crickets from local pet stores. It would be nice to save myself some trips over!
 Yes I did know that! Thanks ERKle!(y)
What is a good plant to feed them? I don't know what that paste stuff is that PetSmart feeds them, but I assume it's not ideal.
I'm trying to start a colony of feeder bugs for my veiled chameleon. Here's the issue. My apartment complex is pretty strict about pets to begin with and they are DEFINITELY against bugs. Crickets and roaches are probably a no, so I'll keep getting them from local pet stores. But I might be able...
I might try this! I'm always afraid to stress my male veiled too much when I get him out of the cage, so when he flares up and takes a shot at me, I usually back off. But I think he likes bossing me around so I might have to try again sometime.
Did you tame him at all? I tried getting him out of his cage once and he hissed and took a few bites at me. He’s fine with hand feeding and I can lure him out of his cage a few times, but that’s about it.
I only have a young veiled cham, and he’s got quite the attitude. I know that ALL chameleons dislike excessive handling, but my question is, do panthers have less aggression? I have seen very few videos of panthers hissing and biting (though I’m sure some Panther owners will prove me wrong) what...
Mine was ok as a juvenile, but once he got his big boy attitude it was all over. My wife was misting him and he decided to scurry out of his viv, so we had to guide him back in. After that escapade, we pretty much lost all his trust. He still hand feeds, but absolutely no handling.
Honestly, I just became a member today, so probably around 25 points or so?
As far as what species that cham is, my guess would be Meller's? But I honestly don't know either :wideyed:
I love this! Thanks so much Deca!
Here he is! Leonard the brat. He's getting sleepy so he's in a relatively good mood. Tried getting him out of the cage for a better pic but he was having NONE of that.
#hailtheveil....I like that....it's like our own private cult now! :D
