Hi, thanks for thinking of me/us. Since his vet visit Monday there has been no change. He went from his Saturday diarrhea explosion as I called it, till today just a tiny spot of poo. He still won't eat on his own. Overall else he seems like himself. We are just taking it one day at a time...
So all went well at Pascal's appointment. She does agree that it may have been the Metacam that caused the explosion of diarrhea on Saturday night. So we are stopping that. She wants me to continue with the Cisapride and Metcolpramide until his stools become regular. His hydration is good...
Oh gosh no, don't worry about it! I completely and 100% understand. I feel bad I didn't know you guys preferred me to do it this way. No problem. I will keep you all posted.
I am thinking diarrhea too. Thanks again for letting me know about the Metacam. Hopefully I get some good news tomorrow. He is a fighter that is for sure. I just hope I can get him to start eating on his own again soon.
Hi, he has been in it since July 31st. I did not know that about Metacam. He goes back to the vet tomorrow, so I plan on filling her in on all that happened. He seems better today.
Hey guys, I came home today to find the following all over in Pascal's enclosure. See pictures.
Before work he got his 3 meds (cisapride, metoclopramide, and metacam). He also got his 50/50 Pedialyte and water mix, 3cc.
I actually felt like he has been doing better. He seems more...
Thanks guys, I really am trying to do my best and you all have been super super helpful...so thank you! All I want is what is best for Pascal. I think my biggest problem was not enough hydration, so I have changed all that and hopefully we are moving in the right direction.
Hey guys, me again. So good news, Pascal passed some more stool and it was loose this time. He also hasn't been open mouthed as much. He still isn't eating on his own, but I have been doing his critcal care feeding. Tonight after I got home he got a 20 minute shower and I will see if that...
Hey guys, sorry I had to work my long day today and I just got home an hour ago.
Once home I asked my husband how he was doing. He said he hasn't noticed him open mouth at all today, but he wasn't up in our room today. I checked on him once I got in and he was already in his sleep spot. He...
Okay, I will up the times. Thank you. I have tried the pumpkin. I really really appreciate all the help. He is my first chameleon and I read a ton before I got him (I always do my research first). So I am just devastated that this happened.
Yes, we have a mist king. He gets misting every 2 hours starting at 10 and going till 8am. They go off for 4 minutes. He also gets hand misted, showers, and soaks right now to help.
Poor guy, I feel so bad for him. I seriously wish I knew how he got so impacted in the first place. He is on no substrate, plants are covered, insects he eats aren't to big...frustrating. His temps are good. His basking spot usually falls around 88. It can get up to about 92 depending on...
