    Outdoor caging ?

Yes this helps a lot I was also concerned about misting I planned on running another nozzle to my mistking and really letting it run for a good hour at least once it get it set up. I live in Michigan and rn the temps are mid 70s some days it gets up to mid 80s and as far as him being in direct...

    Outdoor caging ?

Thanks for the input, and as far as people stealing my guy he's on my balcony second story up so if someone wanted to take him they'd have to scale the wall lol. And I've yet to see any birds that are interested in him hopefully they don't notice!

    Outdoor caging ?

Just a few concerns about outdoor caging. It's my first time bringing my veiled male outside, he's 8 months old and I don't want to stress him too much. I have a great indoor setup so I'm using one of my older cages for his outdoor setup. His outdoor cage only contains one umbrella plant, and...

    Possibly sick Cham, advice needed

That's funny u say red upsets your Cham, mine is the same and of course I'm a red wings fan so:cool:. But yeah I always have about 3 feeders on deck dubias being staple...I don't think he needs more cover only due to the fact that he's not shy unless someone new is around and he's in a secluded...

    Possibly sick Cham, advice needed

@opheliaeatsbugs, I bought him from a local breeder in October, breeder said he was 5 weeks old at the time so since it was getting cold here I just haven't had a chance to get him looked at due to the garbage weather here in Michigan! Hopefully your right and he's just being a moody teenager!

    Large Atrium enclosure

IMHO , I would get ledges for your current cage and use the foam on that so u have a solid idea on how to us the foam and a better idea of how u want your next build to go on an expensive cage like ds!!! I had 3 cage builds before I purchased a dragonstrand cage...and I agree with @OldChamKeeper...

    Possibly sick Cham, advice needed

So I live in Michigan and it's starting to warm up a little finally but still somewhat cold so I'm trying to avoid taking my Cham in the cold for a vet visit unless absolutely needed or we have a warm enough day to where I can take him.NOTE- the closest exotic vet is about 30 mins from me...The...

    Adding sounds of nature

Imho adding sounds to calm your chameleon or add a realistic feel is overkill...just take your Cham outside lol

    Adding sounds of nature

I don't think it would do any good as chams have evolved to the point they can only hear certain decibels. In other words they can't hear very well!

    Proper gutloading=beast mode lol

I have two cricket bins/ exoterra with the black tubes. I used the orange cubes for a while not the best but it works if that's all u got. Each bin holds around 100 cricks, so I have anywhere from 100-150 max 200 cricks at once. Nothing is pre made beside the dry cricket food I use. I just buy...

    Proper gutloading=beast mode lol

Recently switched up my gutloading technique " less dry feed a lot more greens, veggies, fruits, bee pollen etc." and just wanted to share that this change in gutloading has been great. Ever since, my boy has been devouring everything at least 15-20 crickets a day I couldnt be happier as he was...

Is this common for anyone else?

Maybe the water in the reservoir to the mistking is not warm enough lol? I've heard of people adding a water heater to there's but I'm skeptical of how the water stays warm running through a pump and at least 6ft of tubing and being compressed through a nozzle! This would be on the lines of...

Is this common for anyone else?

Yeah when I first got my Cham all I had was a dripper and hand misting, he would drink strait from the dripper when I would actually see this phenomenon lol. Since all his cage upgrades and mistking within the past 3 1/2 months he still prefers his dripper, he will occasionally open his mouth...
