    Treating wood for terrarium

Flashlight and some motivation! I get it tho I live in Michigan and it's crap weather here right now too...it's discouraging to find branches after a long day at work while dark. Try and find a friend with a wooded backyard then you don't have to worry about looking suspicious at night cutting...

    Treating wood for terrarium

I've never had an issue and there's others on the forum that do the same as me so it's all based on how you want to do things, I never said rinsing was the only way to clean branches

    Treating wood for terrarium

I just rinse my outside branches with soap water and place in cage, I've never had any issues. Imho bleach and baking is overkill but if u feel the need better safe than sorry.

    lighting for new enclosure

IMHO mercury vapor bulbs are old school, if u get that quad I would just use a incandescent bulb for basking!

    lighting for new enclosure

The quad will put off a little heat not too terribly much but it keeps my upper layer in the cage around 78-83 degrees Fahrenheit. I just use a standard incandescent 75w in winter and 65w in summer for my basking bulbs. Remember different chams need diff temps tho this setup I have is for a...

    lighting for new enclosure

For the bulb combo in my quad I have 2 daylight bulbs 1 12% and one plant bulb if you buy from lightipyourrep pretty sure that's the standard combo unless u ask for a custome layout.

    lighting for new enclosure

Sounds like a solid plan man, those quad fixtures do put off a little heat so make sure with that mercury vapor bulb that it doesn't get to hot! Post some pics when it's all set up!

    lighting for new enclosure

One uvb is fine, go with Arcadia bulbs 6% or 12%. My quad currently has one 12% and I have it directly over his basking branch which is in the middle of the cage so the uvb is directed strait down the middle of the cage allowing the uvb to cover most areas. If u have the money u can grab a solar...

    Just about done

I hear ya appeal is key in my opinion but I stick with ds cages or lllrep cages just due to the fact that no feeders can escape them. And yes everything is zip tied, I actually somewhat copied the advanced setup on the dragonstrand site, if u haven't read the article check it out good...

    Just about done

Very convenient for cleaning, both my cages are bare bottom. I like the pond foam as well but I didn't want anything permanent in this cage so I didn't use any. and you should check out the laying bins dragonstrand offers very nice, there pretty much a laying bin that covers the entire cage...

Too much stress for a Cham?

I want to rebuild my chams enclosure due to minor issues with my husbandry but I'm not sure if it would be too much stress for my Cham. I have 2 cages...a medium 36in tall cage that's is not being used and I have his current cage which is a 48in tall cage. My plan was to use the smaller cage...
