There is a very low hanging vine over the laybin (about 2 inches from the top of the sand), and I have some plants surrounding the bin where the stem almost touches the rim/ top edge of the bin, and these extend to the upper area of the enclosure, so she does have access to it, but I can add...
I have not seen her drink the last few days, but I'm pretty sure she is getting water, this morning I found some fresh urate that was white, did not see any poop but I was in a rush out of the house so I'll double check when I get home
Thanks, that's my current thought, just based on reading other forums, I think my main concern is how long is too long for her to go without eating (as it's been 3 days now) and at what point do I book a vet appointment over concerns of egg-binding?
Yes, I have a laybin set up in the left hand side of the enclosure filled with moist play sand from Home Depot. I did a pilot hole just to make sure it wouldn't collapse and left it there as a sample. I've also covered the left hand side of the enclosure with brown paper to provide some privacy...

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's helpful.
Im assuming my girl is probably in the first portion where the colors are pronounced and she's restless trying to make a break for it and escape every time I open the enclosure. I'll keep a close eye out.
If anyone else has any expirences I'd...

My girl is estimated to be a year old, but has only been in my care for about a month and a half. Over the last...
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if I could get some feedback regarding supplement dusting of food. I feel like the terminology 'light dusting' is very subjective and I am in a constant state of wondering if I've done too much, or done too little, or if Im okay.
^This is about the amount...
I got the 24W sansi grow light bulb and it arrived today, you guys were not kidding around when you said it was bright. Almost blinded myself looking at it. Leads me to the main question: should I have any concern having it over the enclosure in terms of my cham's eyesight and/or health?
Lots of different options for heat, relatively cheap too. You could get a ceramic heat emitter (CHE) they run anywhere from $8-$25.
Other option is a general incandescent bulb (no need to go for the specially marketed reptile basking bulbs), depending on the type or wattage you may have to add...
I was intending on using the grow light in addition to what I already have. You'd still need a linear uvb and heat bulb (the uvb stuff doesn't generate much heat) for your cham
