Still sounds like your cham is not getting enough water. They can be shy at times, and might not be drinking while you are watching. Do you have a dripper set up? Pictures are also like a thousand words. Let see the poo.
Mara Jade flares up with rage any time I mention Luke's father Darth Vader. She's the sensitive one. Luke, he really don't care about much. Luke's sire was Vader from Vinny Maggio out in CA.
How long until she could drop another batch of eggs? I am currently monitoring her weight again every monday. I'm going to leave her laying bin in there still for a few more weeks. She is eating and drinking. I wouldn't say though she's eating the amounts that she would 4 or 5 weeks ago...
22 eggs and a lot of stress for me.... Mara Jade did great...
So I haven't been around much recently but that doesn't mean nothing has been going on around here. Mara Jade and Luke both have been enjoying the warm spring (ok HOT) weather here in Tampa. She's been gaining weight and was at 72...
The artificial tree trunk and rocks are superb. I also love the use of the 3x3 shower pan. Might you let us know where you acquired it? I curious on its bottom line cost. I'm always re-inventing for my Nosy Be's.
Definitely share some pics. I'm curious to see your version.
I too think I'm going to modify how high the screen goes up into them. I have seen some feeders trying to crawl around the top seam and possibly escape that way. I want to stop the mesh about 1-1.5" from the top, and I think...

I just finished my second one this week for my females enclosure. Both my chams are loving these.
I too wouldn't worry to much. I'm looking at a couple in my female's enclosure as I write this. Although if a male starts chirping, I can't rest until its back in the gutload bin in the garage where they can chirp until their hearts content.:mad::mad:
Greg you are so not alone. My wife thinks we live in a zoo. She does not understand my love for reptiles. I'm forty-six and act like a 10 year old around my chams. I too have NEVER EVER mentioned ANYTHING about the two black bins in the garage cabinet that contain "discoids"...
The first thing that comes to my mind is how does his urates look in his poo? Nice and white, and more of an orange tint? Just because you are not seeing him drink like your others normally drink, doesn't mean he's not. He may just be waiting for you to turn you head, and he takes a quick...
Thanks eat2muchrice. It was your's and Nick Barta's recent creations that got my wheels turning. Once my mind starts going on creative stuff like this, it don't stop until I do a little weekend project.
BTW, I also don't think you should beat yourself up on the periodic cricket escapee...
Yep absolutely great thread. I too have continued a thread / journal similar to this for both my male and female panthers. I fun to see the growth of the chams and evolution of the enclosures.
