    Who keeps snails?

Seeing this thread just is totally ironic to me, my local pet store had snails, helix whatever it was, they were by where they keep the horn worms and such when I went in today. I just thought they were for fish tanks. I honestly didn't think my chameleons could eat them! I'm curious to see...

To spay, or not to spay?

You won't have to worry about it since you have a male. I've had my male for 2 years, I didn't even know it was a thing until now when I got my female.

To spay, or not to spay?

And I don't know how to type. Spraying, spaying. It's all getting so confusing now :ROFLMAO: Spraying is good, chams need water to live. Spaying is surgery, but not necessary in this case. ;)

    My little guy is shedding!

Chamcam! That's so cool! Now I feel like I have been missing out on so much! I need to go buy a few surveillance cameras now so I can have a couple ChamCams too! I still get excited when my chams shed, I want to watch them while I'm at work lol

To spay, or not to spay?

You do know what spaying is, but you're the only one talking about it. We are talking about spaying, maybe you've heard the term neutered before? It's the girl version. SPAYING: verb sterilize (a female animal) by removing the ovaries.

Update on my new rescued veiled chameleon

Thanks guys! I'm super happy to have her. I wasn't planning on taking in rescues, but I'm really looking forward to giving her the life she deserves, being healthy and happy

To spay, or not to spay?

Thank you everyone for your feedback! I've done a little reading on it today as well, and I have decided I'm definitely not going to spay her unless it becomes medically necessary. I've also talked with some local reptile owners, and the responses I got from them was the same. I'm saddened by...

    Veiled chameleon tame ability

@Jc555 I wouldn't say he literally told you to change your friends.. he said "if" they really are bothered by the fact they don't get to see you hold your chameleon or it's useless then you need better friends. That is not the definition of literal. So if your friends don't really feel that...

To spay, or not to spay?

Yes it's in Mesa, I looked up Kevin Wright, it looks like he had his own practice that closed after his passing.

To spay, or not to spay?

I'm in Arizona, his name is Todd Driggers at the avian and exotic animal clinic. How do I get pet insurance for my chameleons? I have it for my dogs through the vet itself, but they obviously don't see the same vet lol When you've had it done was it successful and never needed to be done again...

To spay, or not to spay?

Sorry, maybe I should have put this in general conversation instead of health clinic? Since I'm asking more of a general opinion? Idk

To spay, or not to spay?

I have never heard of spaying a reptile before. When I took my female veiled in for her first ever check up my vet played on the scare tactics thick about egg laying. He said she's most likely going to get MBD, regardless of husbandry and supplements, due to the toll egg laying will have on her...

    Veiled chameleon tame ability

All the tips and tricks in the world might not fully "tame" him. But you can work with him to build the trust, and he may surprise you one day, I just don't want you to get your hopes up. When my male chameleon was young, he used to come to me. I'd just walk past his cage and he'd run to the...

    Sometimes I really hate people...

She's a fighter for sure! The vet says she's doing really well, especially considering how I got her. He also believes she's only around 7-8months old. I thought she seemed way too small, and it was a relief that she wasn't living in those conditions for years. I tried to question the girl who...
