I am fairly new to this community and would like to share my experience with asking for help. I was one of those people that bought everything on bad advice but really wanted to provide my chameleon with a good home. I had questions about everything and am very grateful for the positive feedback...
Love the cage set up! I am interested in those feeder cups for my new carpet Chameleon. I have a different style and they tend to escape before he gets to them. I have a hybrid dragon strand cage with glass front and solid sides. I looked on their website and it says they are for a screen cage...
I also got a baby carpet chameleon from @javadi a little male. He also has been sleeping on the ceiling and I also caught him hanging upside down while sleeping. Lol he was so tired that I was able to stick my hand in there and gently push him back up and he grabbed back on without waking up at...
I received my new baby from Javadi today. He is the cutest little baby. He looks to be in excellent health and was packaged very carefully. I would highly recommend purchasing a carpet Chameleon from Javadi he took the extra time to answer all my questions to ensure I have the correct habitat...
Update they got the rest of the blood back Renee said that she is slightly anemic but she isn’t concerned because that can happen when they are using all those red bloods cells to make eggs. She did move a little today around today but she just got in her sleeping position about 1.5 hours before...
She is puffing up and getting warmed up which is typical for her at this time of day. Her cage is bioactive and there's a very large deep plant bag at the bottom with terrafirma substrate from the biodude. It holds a tunnel and I made one for her to test the soil.
That makes more sense now. I got the Reptivite multivitamin with D3 and give it on the first and the 15th. I give plain calcium at every feeding 3 or 4 times a week. it makes me feel better to get the D3 because I’m scared of her getting metabolic bone disease so as long as it’s not gonna hurt...
I have a female panther chameleon her name is cricket and she is approximately 8 to 10 months old. She’s had a change in behavior going to sleep about an hour before her lights turn off and also her poop has changed. About three weeks before this change she was crawling all over her cage trying...
That’s an awesome idea! I used to have mantis’ as pets. They are really cool to watch. I wanted to put some in with the Chamaeleon but I was worried it would stress her out. Thanks again
Did you put the sticky trap inside the enclosure? I have a seven month old panther chameleon and a bio active set up. The springtails and several varieties of isopods are thriving but so are the fungus gnats. The enclosure is in our bedroom so it’s super annoying. I have those sticky traps above...
So I feed Cricket my female panther Chameleon black soldier fly larva once in a while. I have a bioactive set up that has been reviewed and I made necessary changes a couple of times. A larva must have fallen out of her mouth bc when I checked on her this morning there was what I thought was a...
