That's it, Cindy! You've inspired me. I saw hibiscus at the store, wanted one for my little guy, but was too cheap!. I'm getting one.
Do you worry about pesticides or do you have organic supplier?
I forget who lives in western PA on here, but I wanted to share my worm supplier. http://www.dbdpet.com/
They have EXCELLENT quality horns and silks, and you can get baby ones. Just the right size for our "Jann babies!"
This morning Wasabi refused to get sprayed and demanded to climb onto my hand.
He had pooped into his little feed cup and, while I was leaning over it to clean it out, he kept trying to grab onto my hair! I was laughing my head off!:ROFLMAO:
Once I gave Wasabi a small horn worm on my hand (about day #3), that was it. He's gotten so lightening fast, though, I have to be careful.
He was on my head while I was at my desk and bolted down my arm, onto my desk and tried get to the shelf with my printer on it. Little stinker! :D
Wasabi shed today, as well! By the time I got home from an errand this afternoon, it was all off already!
BTW, @jannb , what the heck were you feeding these guys?!! I can't believe how fast he's growing! He's already got so many of his "big boy" markings. LOL!
I was at a reptile show over...
Hello!
Welcome to the awesome, mind-blowing world of Chameleon Keeping! I never much cared about keeping a reptile, until I spotted my first Cham, and I was hooked.
Currently, I have a 2 1/2 yr old Panther, named "Pixel", and one of Jann's babies. He's a male, named "Wasabi."
I pretty much...
Yes that's what I figured. They had a small cage crammed with about 15-20 6 mon old Jackson's.
All but 2 were totally black. I asked the vendor about parasites and she said, " Oh we take care of that."
I was suspicious....
It's amazing. I never liked the look of Jackson's, but after meeting...
OK Jackson's experts.
We're at a reptile show.
Lots of WC Jackson's from Hawaii being sold cheap.
Does anyone know if you need to worry about parasites and stress like the African WCs?
Just curious....
Call me crazy, but I brought Pixel near Baby Wasabi's free range the other day. He started doing that violent head bobbing thing they do, and Wasabi, little as he is, started postering. (It was hilarious to watch). I'm now thinking Pixel is pouting because there's a new man in my life...
