I might be buying a Jackson chameleon (Chamaeleo jacksonii) this summer and was wondering the best way to take care of them, currently I have a veiled chameleon and he is doing pretty well.
Do they have similar care?
Should I use a glass or cage enclosure?
Basking Temps?
Dusting Schedule?
My advice is to buy a mist king. You can set a scedule on when you want to cage misted, for smaller chameleons you may want to mist more frequently.
I also suggest to look at his urates. If they are white, he is getting enough water, if they are yellow or orange, he is dehydrated and needs more...
What should I use from them for indoor only chams
Right now I use repashy but appaerenlty it isn't too good
Calcium without d3 daily
Calcium with medium amount of d3 2 times a month
Multivitamins 2 times a month
All repashy
Hey, I hear everyone is using this stuff, I was just wondering how to supplement with this link below. It is all in one but I thought it isn't good to use d3 every day.
Thanks for the help...
I forgot to mention I got load with apples oranges and just use some romaine lettuce for extra hydration.
Also is this what you are talking about for the uvula hood...
I thought putting fecal in the fridge kills bacteria and parasites.
Can you give me a link to a scale, all I can find are those kitchen scales, which you say might not do the job
When I first got my veiled, I did not own a temperature gun, just a cheap thermostat. (That's why he was dark in...
Also you know when they are pooing and, normally they have like a clear liquid follow their fecal ( https://gyazo.com/87a5604e4bbe65a794cbce03ef4f0e4f ), my guy has like an orange liquid but the urate is still white
I will probably do a poop sample when I get onto summer holidays (2 weeks) The closet herp vet to me is an hour away. School plus work makes it almost impossible for me to take in a sample for him
