    Tongue-safe materials

I've been seeing a lot of content lately about chams getting their tongue stuck to things and potentially needing amputation. I'd really like to add these props to an enclosure because I feel like they would give a unique aesthetic and things for the cham to climb on but I need to know: would...

    What locale is this?

I saw this chameleon in a YouTube video and I'm really curious what locale it is cause it looks awesome! Sorry the picture isn't great, it was the best screen cap I could get.

    Heat lamp cover temps

I'm thinking of building a "cover" out of wood to hide the lights on my enclosure. The only thing I'm worried about is the cover of the heat lamp getting hot enough to ignite it even from a few inches away. Thoughts? (The cover would only go around the front and sides of the enclosure it'll...

    Moss in bioactive

Trying to think of ways to optimize the space in a bioactive enclosure. In trying to maximize the amount of green it occurred to me to add moss to the substrate. Is this a viable option?

    Feeder storage

Potentially dumb question: I'm currently building a stand/storage area for an enclosure. I've heard some feeders keep better in a fridge. Would it be a bad idea to install a mini fridge under my enclosure?

    Bioactive plant variety

I'm currently planning and designing a bioactive enclosure and I had some questions about plants. 1) on pretty much every "approved plants" list I've noticed that they are almost exclusively green leafy plants with very few other colors and almost no flowers. Is there a reason for this? 2)...

    Oops!

Accidentally left a tin of Superworms in my car last night and I'm pretty sure they all froze. My question is, what're the chances they just hibernated as opposed to actually died? Is there any salvaging this tin or should I just buy a new one?

    DIY Double Cage Build

I'm in the same boat. I'm trying to build this for under $300.

    DIY Double Cage Build

Should I consider another type of wood? Particle board maybe?

    DIY Double Cage Build

Thanks :-) also, since I'm using it to construct the box and also considering it for the back side of the cage (to protect the wall) does MDF take epoxy paint well?

    DIY Double Cage Build

For the box that will serve as the base of my cage, if I coat the whole thing in FlexSeal, will that provide a good enough water tight seal?

Thanks! So many great ideas. I really appreciate all the advice!

    DIY Double Cage Build

How good are PVC sheets for load bearing. Could I theoretically just make a PVC bottom, cover it in screen, and drill a crap ton of small holes in it for stuff to drain through?

    DIY Double Cage Build

I've been trying to figure out the best way to elevate the plants off the true floor of the cage cause the only one I have right now is a large Schefflera and its a pain to get the bottom out from under that. But im positive its too heavy to actually hang from the screen. Maybe ill design a cage...

    DIY Double Cage Build

Believe me, I've considered it lol. I used to make fun of people who were crazy pet "parents" but the longer I take care of Kronin, the more I seem to like the little guy. Funny how that works :-P

    DIY Double Cage Build

That's what I thought. Unfortunately it seems my roommate is putting his foot down on this bioactive idea :-/ guess I'll just have to design something that's quick to tear down for cleaning purposes

    DIY Double Cage Build

If the isopods eat all the decaying matter and such, are there any additional cleaning requirements for a bioactive set up?

    DIY Double Cage Build

I think I'll stick with the "they won't escape" argument. Particularly what you said about their food and shelter being in the cage.
