I'm sayin! Now I'm just waiting for him to get rid of those black bands and light up like a Christmas tree. I'm starting to see some reds and bluish greens but that's it.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I didn't know if this was better here or in the food forum.
Tonight when I went to spray Kronin's cage for the last time I glanced in his cricket cage and I noticed gnats are starting to invade it. I've been wiping it out between batches of crickets. Should...
Thanks! The main thing I was concerned with was making sure I gave him plenty of basking time after he eats. Also, I tend to feed him 8-10 crickets a day and some mornings I'll notice that he hasn't eaten half of them.
Had a quick question about the timing of food. As of right now, my chameleon's lights are on from 9am-9pm. Because of the shifts I work, my day starts at 1pm and goes til 4am. Since ive gotten Kronin I've been feeding him at 1 when I get up but im starting to wonder if thats not giving him...
We have confirmation! Sir Kronin is indeed male! I can't wait to see these reds and blues develop. In the last pic, if that ain't a bulge, idk what is!
Hey folks, got what I hope are some better pics of Sir Kronin and was hoping someone might be able to tell if it's a boy or girl. Sorry they're a bit blurry, this was only the second time (s)he has been handled by me so (s)he was pissed and having none of it. (As evidenced by his/her color in...
That very well could be. I know it doesn't help that his light schedule and mine don't mesh very well. I wanted his lights to at least come close to matching the sun so they come on at 9am and go off at 9pm. My day, however, runs from about 12:30pm to roughly 5am (working two jobs). Ive been...
My chameleon's cage is in my bedroom. The last few nights as I've been laying in bed I've heard what sounds like crunching noises coming from his cage. I thought all chameleons slept mostly through the night. Is it possible that he's hunting? Should I investigate further or am I just being paranoid?
Thanks :-) and hopefully his/her colors start coming through. I'm aware every cham develops at it's own pace, so I'm trying to be patient but watching them develop is half the fun of owning a cham.
So assuming I do have a female, how long before I need to start making arrangements for egg...
If I'm understanding correctly, maybe what you're asking for is one where his body is more in line with his tail? Maybe this one is better. This was taken the day I got him at Petco (about a month ago)
Or the second one was at the vet
I'll do my best but he absolutely refuses to be handled. The only time he's been out of his cage since I got him was to a wellness check at the vet and for that I basically had to grab him (which I know you should avoid if at all possible)
Here's (hopefully) a better shot of the tail base. Also, on an unrelated note: I know they generally get paler while they sleep, but this was taken 2 1/2 hours before his lights go out. Any idea why he's already pale?
