UVA let's them see in color basically. It isn't as necessary as Uvb but not having it will shorten the chams lifespan and lower quality of life as far as I know. Not seeing the right colors leads to stress.

I would recommend a bulb with uva

Oh yeah I should probably mention my cage is not covered at all so humidity was a problem for me

Compact fluorescent bulb like the 5.0 in the kit

Don't use a megaray for a normal cage though
