    Low Profile Heat Source

Xenon bulbs don't have a long run life though do they? Aren't they made for non-continuous use?

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

First off, welcome to the Cham world! It looks like you're on the right path. I have to ask, do you mean Monsoon or MistKing? I ask because the Monsoon is about that price, but I've not seen a MK setup going for that, let alone being sold through Petco. If it is a Monsoon you picked up, you...

    Low Profile Heat Source

Working up a rack to house everyone while optimizing space and I'm trying to figure out if there are any low profile lights anyone uses for their heat source for daytime basking? I know LED spotlight bulbs are used commonly, but that requires a dome. Has anyone used an LED strip that they have...

    Easy to Culture Small Feeders

I'd be interested to hear more about roach options. Dubias are not "small" as they are about the same size as 1/4" crickets.

    Easy to Culture Small Feeders

Looking to see what other small feeders that are easy to culture are out there besides fruit flies, bean beetles and flour beetles. Looking for something simple to keep cultured.

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Just figured I'd ask a question. What are the average size of Xanth babies? I ask because I have a feeling mine may have been born extra small due to the clutch size. Here is a picture for reference. This was one of them the day they were being moved into the ExoTerra.

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Chameleon Log Day 5: Just got back from my trip and I have to say, these little guys are resilient and/or their setup came together nicely for being last minute. The sitter was only able to swing by once on Monday and on their way to work today, and they said they only fed. From what I can tell...

    MISTKING THINGS I didn't know....

I just deal with the initial shaking as mine only does it until it gets up to pressure, from then on it's silent. I don't understand why some people hate on the zip drip, without a full drainage system it's nice to not have a nozzle dribble for a few minutes as the pressure equalizes, plus it's...

    US JOSH'S FROGS

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with Josh's Frogs. I've ordered various things with them over the years and never had an issue. Did you place the order online or did you call them? Generally when you place an order online you should get a confirmation page that shows you that your...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Seems to have only happened during the initial feeding as they had to wait 6 hours or so for their first meals. Now it's sporadic. One will mail one item, another will nail another, bit nothing in tandem. Ever since a few larger crickets got in with their pin heads they seem to be more...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Figured I'd start posting in the correct section in hopes that others would do the same ;) She's pretty tired. Day of birth she decided to actually drink during one of the misting times I saw. I've been feeding her superworms and dubias in hopes of getting her full and getting some weight back...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Day #2 As of right now things are going well. Only issue was finding food sources for these little guys. Ended up having to drive to a handful of different petshops to find feeders for these guys. Pinheads are next to non existent, but I was able to find extra small crickets and fruit flies at...

    Pregnant Jackson's

All I can say being that it's day 2, pre order your fruit fly culture now and have it going... 30 babies currently are going through a ton twice a day. Based on what you can get fruitflies for at your local chain store you will be going through a few cultures per feeding as they tend to not...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

It's been a long day... Got back home about 6pm with a ton of plants, a temp misting setup, some fake vines, a T5 uvb fixture with uvb 5.0, as much pinhead crickets as I was allowed to leave with (seems like I met their daily limit as to make feeders available for others), and two starter...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Thanks for all the help everyone! I'll be sure to reach out if I need anything. Right now is just making sure I have everything they need together. About to go out and grab some plants and another ExoTerra as I have one 18x18x24 sitting, but another to split the group into two 15's makes more...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Nothing goes plan A. It's been a life motto at this point. Killer part for me is that I'm going to a wedding out of state on Sunday and won't be back till Tuesday. Going to have to find a sitter QUICK! As I don't have a local place to get a MistKing to setup for these guys I'm thinking about...

    T. Jacksoni Xantholophus Baby Adventure!

Let's just start out with a day 1 pic: No matter how much planning you can do, you can never be prepared for a clutch of babies. Specifically when selecting my female Xanth I chose a smaller one (5" nose to vent) in hopes of if she was pregnant the clutch size would be small. Since I picked...

HELP!!... my Jackson cham just gave birth!!

I see you already posted a thread of your own, so we will keep updates there as to not bring up a previously dead thread.

    Pregnant Jackson's

Jackson's are the best! I'm in the same boat with my female Xanth and expecting her to pop with some enclosures aside for the babies. Best thing you can do is make sure she is getting gutloaded meals and make sure she's getting the right dosing on non D3 calcium weekly. What dimension is her...

Hello, Im just making sure im starting off right

You can leave it bare with the plastic insert, that way it's easier to clean when you go in for your weekly maintenance. Otherwise, fill it with pots so that there is even less of a visible bottom, but plenty of growth for the Cham to call home.
