She loves to come out of her cage and just climb the blinds and look out the window. I figured there’s no harm as long as I’m watching her. Does your Cham do this too? :)
My female Cham has been climbing the top of her cage the past week. I have no idea why she is doing this. Her basking temp is 80-85. She sits right under UVB lamp. And the humity is normal too? she is 6-7 months old and never done this before. It’s like she’s digging at the top of the screen. I...
I missed a shipment of crickets from rainbow mealworm so I went to my local pet smart to get a couple days worth. I saw this lil guy it makes me so sad. at least keep the humidity up?
My female Cham just hit about 6 months; mainly she gained the weight that she was lacking when I got her. I fed her 8-12 crickets a day, somtimes some hornworms and super worms. What should I cut her food to now that she is getting bigger and going to lay eggs eventually. Can I just cut to 8...
Hahaha yes, my only concern is before I left she was never like that and would come out willingly. I have been away and the person taking care of her cleaned up the poop. I saw one from last night and it looks pretty good? A good white color and and a medium dark brown. Maybe she’s just a little...
Hello, my Cham is about 6 months old now. I left the country for 10 days and returned last night. Ther person who was watching her for me fed her and sprayed her cage 3 times a day. I controlled all the lights and humidity (the mister) from my phone so I know humidity never dropped below 50%...
Is it okay to run from like 5-8am? I like the plants to be wet when lights come on so she can drink? Thanks for the info about the fogger I didn’t know temp played a role.
Yeah I checked with the lists and with the nurseries first. They are all non-toxic. The only one that is debatable is the orchid but many people said they had them with no problem
I have a fogger running on a timer the first two hours the lights are on and the last hour before lights out. The fogger is outside mesh so a lot builds up and creates a drip on the plants. I also use a sprayer 3 times a day
Thank you guys was concerned that she was getting burned. I am planning on getting a bigger enclosure within the next 3 months as she grows and will upgrade to a t5 just don’t want a super large one right now with this small enclosurer.
Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, female; I have had her for about a month but she’s no more than 6months old.
Handling - I handle her when she lets me... everyday other day. Some days, she hisses when I place my hand in her cage so I let her be.
Feeding - 8 crickets; every morning...
Does this look like burn marks? Or normal for veiled Cham? Light is 6 inches from basking spot and it’s sitting at 85° right now. Never seen her climb on the mesh.
