Chameleon tried too eat their poop?

Okay this is random but I went to feed my Cham this morning/check on her for the first time. I guess she pooped last night and I didn’t realize it, because this morning when I went to see her... she tried to shoot her tounge at it. Has anyone else seen their Cham do this? She is on a very good...

    Live plants

I get my plants at local nurseries... be careful with the potting soil.. most have perlite, I have caught my Cham eating the perlite and cover all the soil with river stones now. crotons are a good colorful option that are sturdy to climb.

Leaving for a week.. meal prep question

I am leaving town and having someone watch my chameleon for the week. (I have automatic lights and mister) i am trying to prep the food for them. Can I put crickets in the same container as horn and meal worms? Or will they eat each other? My idea is to have 7 Tupperware’s of each days meal...

    New plants and lay bin

Hopefully getting a larger enclosure within the next 6months as Cham grows. Updated her enclosure with some more branches and plants. Also added a lay bin to the back of the cage. Any other advice for the enclosure? (Besides lights those are coming soon).

    Misleading info on staple feeders

Sorry; I left that out. I have a female veiled chameleon. I think she is about 4-5 months old. Currently feeding her as many crickets as she wants (12-18) and (4-5 super worms) all gutload and supplemented.

    Misleading info on staple feeders

Okay I have tried to do research on this site for what the best staple feeders and occasional feeders should be for my juvenile Cham. The pet store didn’t tell me jack. I have found thousands of posts and Caresheets but they all contradict each other? Are crickets ok as a staple food? What about...
