Started introducing super worms to my Chams diet. Want to add some other options besides crickets. After looking through forums, many of you recommended eBay... is there any specific buyers that are more reputable? Or online suppliers you prefer? Thanks
Woke up this morning to my Cham looking Larger than normal. Not sure if maybes she’s nearing the time to lay eggs... I have been researching laying bins but haven’t found much info on what to make them out of or how... all I have seen are these huge garbage bins that will not fit my enclosure...
Random question.... I juice often and left over is the vegetable fibers, peels, etc..... they are still high in many nutrients.. is it safe/ okay to gutload my crickets with this? Added a photo for explaination. It’s mostly carrots, spinach, apples, celery and trace amounts of ginger and beets
Thanks so much! Really going to be a construction month. I’ll pick up some more Pothos and umbrella trees. Waiting for the small drift wood and vines. :)
Yes been going through the photos and researching more on the egg laying bin. I started adding more veggies to the crickets and will get the d3 going when it comes. Starting to add the non-d3 every feeding instead of every other.
And with this enclosurer should I order the 10uvb bulb for the...
Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, female; I have had her for about a month but she’s no more than 6months old.
Handling - I handle her when she lets me... everyday other day. Some days, she hisses when I place my hand in her cage so I let her be.
Feeding - 10-12 crickets; every morning...
t5 comes this week... btw should I keep the 5uvb bulb it comes with or get the 10 UVB? Tanks 32inches talk.
And I wanted to swap the lighting one by one so started with the basking light that I could pick up yesterday.
It’s winter in Washington and the 60w basking bulb wasn’t keeping the tank warm enough. I switched the bulb to a 75w and a couple mins later I come back to my Cham puffed up and hissing at nothing. It stopped after I turned the lights off. This morning when I turned them back on, she’s in her...
I am switching to linear... besides the amount of electricity I’m burning is there any benefit to t5 vs t8? Is my Cham still getting all the benefits of a 10 UVB bulb? It’s a lot more convenient to go with a t8... but I want to get what’s best for Cham. Thanks
Yeah definitely female. Doesn’t have the spur. And was confirmed when I bought her. I have had many other reptiles and was aware chameleons were not cheap lol. Just wanna keep her healthy!
Sweet! Thanks for the good info! Had no idea that she would lay eggs! Crazy the stuff pet stores sell without informing the buyer. (Or maybe I should have done more research!)
